I have never been to the shop, as I live in Marton. But shop online often. I have always has a great experience. Products arriving in a timely manner and well packaged. Would love to visit the shop one day, when I adventure up north.
This is one of the best art shops I've been to- I find that it is better than more well-known and popular art stores. I buy things from this store online- the online website is very easy to navigate and browse through, and the shipping is at a reasonable price. Selection: This shop has an extremely wide range of art supplies- I actually initially came across this shop because other art shops like Gordon Harris didn't sell the materials I was interested in. Price: The prices of things I personally have bought in this shop are cheaper than that of other art shops. One thing I bought here was nearly $10 cheaper than if I'd bought it somewhere else. My personal experience: Recently, one of my online orders from this shop took a bit longer than expected. It had been two weeks and I hadn't heard from the store (and the order status on the website just said pending). Just as I was about to contact the store, I got an email from them and the order soon arrived. When I opened it I was very pleasantly surprised to find a note saying 'sorry this took so long!' and a generous gift, which was very nice. Overall, I would really recommend this store- I will definitely continue to buy my art materials from here :)
Great product, good shipping time however one of the pencils led was damaged in the carbothello pastel set, it keeps breaking when being sharpened where as I have no issues with the other ones that had minor damage to led. The led was completely broken when I had opened the set. Have tried different sharpening techniques and sharpners (even the one the set comes with!) as I know pastel pencils led are sensitive but to no luck and down half a pencil, hadn't had them for more than a few hours let alone hadnt touched them. I have emailed them with no response and that was nearly 2 weeks ago. There communication before shipping was good but now nothing. It was a over $250 purchase I had done with them so would have expected at least an replacement for the pencil that was damaged. Bit disappointed and unlikely to purchase again from them for that reason.
Had a very lovely shopping experience today with Sandy the owner. She was patient, incredibly knowledgeable and so helpful with our questions about different art mediums and supplies. The new store is on two levels, one with canvases, paper and other such supplies, the paint and other supplies are in a little step down studio behind the first. Two choc full lovely places to browse for supplies. I came away with much more than I went for, which included some sound advice and brilliant service. I highly recommend a visit.
The new shop is great !! cleverly located in a beautiful country spot, surrounded by fantastic views and tame alpacas. So much stock to choose from and friendly professional advice. Amazing!
