We came to Island Bay Bakery based off other Google Reviews - the mince and cheese pie is outstanding and fairly priced. Lovely flaky pastry, well flavoured meat filling and plenty of cheese. Family run bakery - friendly service. Iβd definitely grab another of their pies, thanks!
Extremely good cookie caramel slice. Golden pastry pies with extremely good flavours. Almost everything I have had is a 9/10 overall even as a picky eater they make almost every food feel amazing.
We enjoyed excellent chunky steak & pepper pies and vanilla slice from the bakery. A 'must do' when visiting Wellington
Weβve tried a few of their pies now, Butter Chicken, Mince & Cheese, Steak & Cheese, and JalapeΓ±o, and every single one has been fantastic! Flaky, buttery pastry and rich, well-seasoned fillings that hit the spot every time. The Butter Chicken and JalapeΓ±o pies especially stood out, full of flavour with just the right kick. Hands down one of the best pie shops in Wellington. Friendly service, great variety, and consistent quality. Highly recommend!
OMG!!! Their mince and cheese pies are so amazing! It's hamlnds down the best mince and cheese pie in Wellington. No corn flour gravey, just deliciously flavored mince, really nice cheese and pastry that is perfection. Their cookie caramel slice is also a must have. The staff are rad too! I know they had to close for a bit for earthquake strengthening work on their building. Myself and the rest of island bay are so super chuffed to see their back in busines. I also think their pies are even better than before they closed.

GREAT place. One of the few bakeries left around Wellington with both fair prices and great quality food. I have never been disappointed, and the staff are so lovely and friendly.
