This cafΓ© is in an excellent location with a picturesque view β the perfect spot to take a break and soak in the surroundings. Itβs also really convenient that thereβs parking close by, making it easy to pop in without any hassle. I loved that the cafΓ© is attached to the visitor experience centre β such a great idea and a nice touch for anyone exploring the area. The space itself is bright, open, and welcoming, with friendly staff members. I ordered a chai latte, which unfortunately was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the chai spices were quite subtle. That said, itβs still a lovely spot to relax, and Iβd happily come back to try something else on the menu next time.

Classic Kiwi cafe in a beautiful setting, with coffee, cold drinks, a pastry case, and ice cream. Indoor and outdoor seating with stunning views. Great option after exploring Maungawhua/Mt Eden, the cafe is located about halfway to the summit.

Wonderful scenery and stylish decoration and design. Staff really friendly and accommodating and the coffee ( regular flat white ) next level. Good selection from the cabinet food and also a great selection from the cooked food menu. I will be back for sure. My new favourite cafe in the area.

Friend and Whau Cafe offers a relaxing escape, perfect for unwinding with good coffee and small snacks. Aside from its inviting atmosphere, a surprise awaits customers: a small, yet engaging, exhibition dedicated to the history and origins of Maungawhau (Mount Eden). The inclusion of a played video further enhances the experience, providing a dynamic and informative insight into this significant Auckland landmark. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy a beverage and soak in a bit of local history. I would highly recommend coming here during when you visit Maungawhau. Make sure to check their opening hours.

Good spot for a snack or coffee. Great views. This place is about half way up if your walking to the top of the hill.

Truly lovely (and unexpected) place to grab some good Allpress coffee at the top of Mount Eden. They offer oat and soy milk, and even have a few vegan lunch items. After having been renovated last year, this is a must-stop for a relaxing coffee/bite.

This was a beautiful cafe to catchup with friends or spend time with family. Recently renovated and rebranded. Only cabinet food was available, and there was an extensive list of beverages to select from. I tried the gluten free Orange Almond Cake and it was very tasty. The interior was very spacious, and high chairs were available for my friend's baby. There were plenty of parking by the cafe on a Monday morning, you just need to drive up towards the entrance to see the parking.

I lost my wallet on Saturday, 8-4-23, had no idea where it was until one of the girls here Keira, at the cafe found me on FB thru my driving licence, luckily my FB post has my mug shot on it, so today I popped in and picked it up. I really appreciated the service and the honesty, refreshes my faith in people. Thanks for that. I had a really nice coffee and something to eat while it was raining, looking out at the view then left. FYI, there are keys and umbrella's here as well in case you might have lost something nearby.
