   I always have the best experience with Maca! This time I was back in New Zealand with a gorgeous commissioned gifted ring she refashioned from a family heirloom. She fitted me in for an express ring resizing right before I left NZ and did an fabulous job as usual. Not only a fantastic contemporary jeweller, Maca's expertise in redesigning and fixing existing pieces makes her a go to for anything jewellery related. Thank you so much!!!

   I highly recommend Maca Bernal to anyone wanting to learn how to make sterling silver jewellery by hand—especially grillz! Her wealth of knowledge, hands-on approach, and years of experience make her classes truly stand out. I personally travelled to Auckland to invest in myself and my business by taking her Learn to Make Grillz course. After researching other options, I chose Maca because she offers in-person training, which I found invaluable. There’s something about learning directly from a professional who’s willing to share not only the techniques, but also the real-life insights that come with experience. Maca is genuinely invested in her students’ success. She answered every question I had with patience and practical advice. Her friendly and supportive teaching style made the entire experience enjoyable and empowering. The small class size meant I got personalised attention and plenty of time to practise, which helped me retain what I’d learned. I left feeling confident, inspired, and well-equipped to start offering custom grills in my own studio. I already had a background in making sterling silver jewellery at home, so this course was a natural next step. The transition into grill making felt seamless thanks to Maca’s guidance.    Just finished making our Wedding Bands with Maca and couldn’t be more happy and impressed with the results and the wonderful day we had making them! Maca is an amazing teacher and guided us through the whole process providing her expertise as we went! We got to use our grandparents previous wedding rings, melted down into our new rings which made it so much more meaningful and special to remember them. We had so much fun making our rings with Maca and will be sure to be back to make more jewellery and use her services in the future! Would definitely recommend Maca’s services and expertise if you are thinking of making your wedding rings in the future! 11/10 would recommend!

   We loved our gifted wedding band making session with Maca! We made hammered 4 & 2mm rings in sterling silver. Before meeting Maca, we were looking forward to a fun experience and didn’t expect too much of the end product because this was our first time making any jewellery, let alone wedding bands! The finished rings took us by surprise - they were professional and looked like they came straight out of a boutique - yet they hold special meaning because they were made by us (as evidenced by our wonky engraving inside the ring)! We cannot overstate Maca’s wealth of experience, as well as her warm and supportive nature. She not only ensures you will be wowed by what you make, but also knows exactly how to coach and guide you according to your comfort level and skill. Highly highly recommend the wedding band experience with Maca - it is a truly unique and enjoyable experience with your partner and you both come away with something you will cherish together for a lifetime!

   Did the Matariki Star resin workshop and it was amazing. Set in a well prepared workshop with low numbers making it easy to learn and ask questions and feel like you have one on one attention.
