   Rang today to follow up on whether they’ve received my passport renewal form and proof of payment which I’ve emailed on the 8th of May. When I rang, I was asked to send a follow up email which I replied, I did - multiple times but have yet to hear back. When I was transferred, the lady that I was handed over to was rude - very snippy in responding back and was cutting me off. As understanding as I am that there’s backlogs, taking nearly a month to respond to clients emails to simply acknowledge proof of payment is absurd! If you’re not wanting to respond manually, it might be a good idea to set up an online payment on your website with automated receipt as proof of payment instead of bank transfer and cash payment. I thought I was meant to feel at home when speaking to a fellow Malaysian but I felt so dismissed and clearly not welcomed.

   Please be away renew passport may take 3-4 month as only send the application back to Malaysia once a month. I wish knowing early on that, that is nothing on the high commision website or application form advise about the waiting time. I m going back to Malaysia for 20 days at the time mean if the passport is issue while I'm away I can't use the old passport going anyway. Just pray I can received it before leave and serve me right not read all the review. Lina had been ready helpful about my concern and with her help I had my passport before departures.

   Replied promptly to my email queries and gave good advice regarding the paperwork for me. Has good and clean facilities and Malaysia style toilets. Front desk (the guy) is very helpful. For your convenience, better to email first and get ready with cash as they (at that time) don't accept online transfer or to use card.

   Replied promptly to my email queries and gave good advice regarding the paperwork for me and my brother's citizen renunciation. High Commission has good and clean facilities including guest area and toilets. Good collection of books and magazines. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Near bus stop that goes to Wellington central railway station but Wellington airport bus line doesn't go there directly so best to catch a taxi. Always good to email, call and book in advance before a visit.

   If there is a 0 star i would rate it with no doubts! We renewed passport through them and have inform them regarding change of address earlier and they have confirmed that address has been updated and that the courier package will be send to the new address. Fast forward to a few weeks later, we then received email that notify us they send back the passport. We query which address did they send the passport to, but we didn’t receive any feedback. We only manage to find out they never update the new address when we contact NZ post. Now we have to worry someone else takes our passport and God knows what they will do. No email reply from Embassy of Malaysia after this happen, great work!!

   I am surprised to see some of the comments in regards to the service. Me and my family had a great experience with the service we received few years ago. We were there to organise the Malaysia marriage certificate and emergency document. All 3 staff members we came across were very helpful and help to guide us how to complete the form as I am non Malaysia citizen. The staff member even came out to check whether we were ok as we came early morning from Auckland and play with our baby son. We were told we might not get the document the same day but they did try the best so that we can be back to Auckland without delay. Love the service and staff helpfulness.
