My husband and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary at our local The Block Cafe. We decided to dine alfresco as the weather was beautiful. The staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient. The food was amazing. I got the Pancakes with berry compote and a generous sized amount of cream. My husband got the big breakfast which had everything from bacon, eggs, hash brown baked beans etc.. The coffee was Devine! Very filling and good value for money. We'll definitely be back again soon.

I unexpectedly stumbled upon this cafe while I was on my way to the block house bay reserve. This cafe is definitive 'slice, sip and soak in the ambience' experience. Loved the wooden brown look and feel of the cafe and the whole 'block' theme running all over it. I ordered their much hyped 'butter chicken pizza' and a glass of chilled beer. There is an outdoor seating section as well as an indoor one. The restaurant manager was a very lovely person to interact with and was very excited when i decided to go with the butter chicken pizza. The dynamic and energetic front desk staff promptly served the food with a smile on her face. I had a really good time enjoying the food and drink while listening to some tunes of a tastefully selected playlist. I would recommend this as a one stop destination to unwind and have a nice time.

A lovely happy vibe going on and atmosphere warm and inviting. I Loved the Nachos, sister liked Hash plate and Mum had Chicken lollipops and gave a thumbs up. Other sister a little disappointed in dry Waffles that did not taste freshly made. Still wouldnβt hesitate to return.

I have visited this cafe since it opened. The original owner really knew how to run a fantastic cafe and the number of patrons showed that. Now it is mediocre. Itβs hard to find anything appealing on the menu; one young waitress was an absolute pleasure but another slightly older waitress I have encountered before was sullen and difficult to approach. My Margherita pizza was supposed to have basil & oregano on it, there was nothing but a token gesture of chopped parsley. My husbandβs fish was three very thin strips with thick batter to make it look like more, more batter on his plate than fish. Donβt think we will be back :(

Astonishing food + really nice atmosphere, like you can feel all the breeze and the sun light you need. It is my first time at this Cafeβs and will definitely come back to try more food here. I rate 4 stars instead of 5 because i experience some bad customer service with a certain staff.

Awesome and perfect waitress Aurora! (Superb, gentle and amazing patient care from the young lady with a wonderful future.) Can't recommend it highly enough!
