Truly authentic Thai. A lovely family run business, taking you straight to the side streets in Thailand. Quiet atmosphere. Fast service, very affordable prices. Highly recommend!!!! Have returned many times, a favourite little local!
We heard about this restaurant through the local Thai community page on Facebook. We went there for Saturday lunch and are very pleased we did. It brings back fond memories of time we have spent in Thailand. Inside it is cosy and the decor is quite interesting and not overstated. The menu seems to be based on Thai street food plus many of our favorites, we had Basil stir fry with pork mince, Moo Ping and the best dish of all, crispy Pork belly with stir fried vegetables. I haven't had such good trasting crispy pork for many years. Everything was so good we bought two more dishes and took them home for dinner. However, of late they have been a bit Lackadaisical, opening late or not opening at scheduled time, without notice or advice on the various websites.
Celebrated a milestone birthday of a family member here with special friends. I personally chose this Thai restaurant, and it delivered in taste and ambiance. A little botch up with our reservations as it was not recorded, but it was sorted within a few minutes of our arrival. Food was super yummy and portioned appropriately. We enjoyed all the dishes that came to our table and we will surely come back for more. Thank you to the lovely Thai lady who attended to us. She's truly was very friendly and attentive. Just a suggestion - please play authentic soft Thai music at the background or even some instrumental or zen music and not the modern, pop music to compliment the great Thai cuisine experience. Thank you.
The first dish (pad thao kai) was great, strong punchin flavour topped with a fried egg, but the following 2 dishes was a bit unusual- the fried noodles kept breaking and the flavour had strong taste of aniseed... the curry was very sweet. I'd come back to try other dishes though.
Must visit this place if you wanna have Thai food, the prices remain affordable, making it a great value for money, the portion sizes are generous, fresh ingredients, variety manu.
Good flavour made with passion, will be my go to spot in the future. So yummers
As a Thai, I've tried Thai foods in many cities of NZ since 2018. I've found that this place is the best ever (not only in Auckland, but for the whole country). If you wanna try the real authentic Thai taste in NZ, Saladang Thai is your best choice or the right place to go. Please note!! I've never ever given a feedback on any Thai restaurent in NZ before, but featuring dishes with flavorful and friendly staff trigger me to do. So!!!!let's check it out.
