I brought my friend here for a break, and although our stay was generally positive, it was distressing when Susan told my friend off, particularly given her existing emotional struggles and low self-esteem. Unfortunately, this incident has deterred us from returning, despite our initial intention to do so.

My recent stay was the perfect getaway from all the busy demands of everyday life. Morning walks along beautiful Piha beach; wonderful thoughtful hosts and volunteers cooking yummy food; and comfortable accommodation for a great night's sleep. Hope to be back soon.

Te Wahi Ora was just what I needed. Surrounded by beautiful nature, and nurtured by all the wonderful women I encountered during my stay - not only staff but also other visitors. It's a magical place filled with warmth and spirit. I went there to rest and connect with myself and I was supported to do this. I had two wonderful massages by Donna and a gentle counselling session. Bev is an amazing elder who radiates joy, resilience and wisdom. The food was top-notch! Every single bite was yummy. I sang, danced, walked barefoot, connected with the wind, the waves and the black sand, not to mention climbed a few trees - I reconnected with my fearless wild child. Piha is a special place indeed. Maori ancestor spirits whisper on the wind and waves.

I stayed here recently for a few days, I found a safe, peaceful and non-judgemental haven. The counselling was gentle, and wise, I was helped to form a new plan for my future. And the comfy room, lovely meals that catered for any dietary needs, nothing ever appearing to be a problem, all gathered together to make a perfect healing Retreat. Thank you.

Thank you so much Bev and the wonderful team for making my stay absolutely perfect. It was just what my soul needed! Beautiful food lovingly made, going to sleep every night to the sound of the sea, hammocking in the gorgeous garden, reflecting on the beautiful Piha beach and catching endorphins in the bush! I felt so free, safe and so well cared for! Lovely too hearing others stories over shared meals too ❀️ Such a wonderful place, doing such amazing things for woman! Much Aroha and thank you all again ❀

I had an amazing Easter weekend! Bev and Sussan (and I'm sure everyone else in the team) will make sure that you feel comfortable, respected, nurtured and validated in every way possible. The food was so nourishing and incredibly tasty, it was like a hug to the soul. I trully believe that every woman should have the opportunity to experience Te Wahi Ora at least once. Hoping to get back again soon.

What an incredibly calm and peaceful place! The whole team at Te Wahi Ora were very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. This retreat is a wonderful reminder that to live our most fulfilled lives we only need to look inside ourselves. Incredible scenery, delicious al fresco meals and long walks on the beach will help you achieve just that.

I've just had the most amazing stay at te wahi ora. The food and the company, the beach and the chalet was absolutely perfect. I highly highly recommend this to any woman who is feeling tired and overwhelmed to try and get there for a good rest. Everything is taken care of for you, you get to choose what you want to do, perfection. Thanks so much bev and everyone there. Mandy

Such awesome place! True to it's purpose. Bev and Sariba were awesome hosts. The caravan style room was very beautiful and comfortable. Food was delicious (best Thai style Fish I ever had, cooked by Sariba.) Bev is a very friendly, knowledgeable and kind lady. Chatting with her was very comforting and helped me. Sariba offered very non judgemental view and knowledge about different parts of the world, great to meet her. all in all The place offers relaxing, beautiful and peaceful environment.
