My boyfriend and I love to walk up to this cafe and grab a coffee- which is always really good! We are always greeted with great customer service and a friendly chat by Angela as well as other staff. Great atmosphere and amazing family spot in the heart of blockhouse bay! Keep doing what you’re doing!
Tldr: dissappointed by their treatment of doordash delivery drivers... They were great, I never went in person to their cafe but from outside (in person) it looked really busy and full early 2025. A few days later I ordered on doordash and it was great, tasted great too. However, I made another doordash order months later (Oct 2025) and the delivery driver was kind enough to let me know to cancel and that for at least 6 weeks now they have changed management so they are no longer available on doordash. Doordash delivery workers are getting harsh words from the owner for trying to pick up orders as the new owners haven't bothered to remove their store from doordash - again, for weeks.... Dissappointed as they are wasting delivery drivers time and yet are getting cross with them for turning up. The Bay Cafe has lost a customer with me. Old management was great. Their food may or may not still be good but that's not right. This is the cafes responsibility :/
Coffee is great Food. = Tasty and yummy. Worth a visit!. Chinese Moon Cake.! Yum!
The Bay Café is a great little coffee shop tucked amongst the businesses within Blockhouse Bay. It’s surprising what a fresh coat of paint, a fresh menu and friendly staff/owner can do to a place. If you haven’t been here recently, make sure you check out the bay café! Their coffee is amazing and can recommend their lolly cake, scone or chocolate brownie from the cabinet or dine in and grab their big brekkie!
Decent food and very accommodating, however I bought the blueberry pancakes the day before mother's day, for mother's day, through uber and they forgot both the ice cream, whipped cream. Its a shame really but when I reported it a day had already passed and a refund was not available so I have not ordered since. Still they are deserving of 3 stars. However upon reading other reviews the place sounds like it deserves a 1
What a hearty meal in a winter day: beef meatball pasta with lemon ginger tea, all with the price of $20!

Really keen to see some simple improvements in this cafe to easily impress. Unfortunately a little more care required in cleanliness, wiping tables labelling / identifying cabinet food and service at the counter. Food is top notch though. Looking forward to see it better soon.

Just moved in to the neighborhood couple months ago, first time here to have my brunch. Friend highly recommended I should give it a try saying despite the old fashioned style they do make good foods. I ordered big breakfast and I loved it! Good meal Good service Good price
