This practice is mismanaged and struggles to retain doctors. Prescription repeat from 28th August not actioned as at 10 am 3rd September.

Since Capital Care stopped using Manage My Health, the quality of their service has noticeably declined. Booking appointments has become frustrating, and they no longer send email confirmations or reminders — which makes it easy to miss an appointment, and then they charge you for it. There are fewer doctors now, appointments are harder to get, and overall communication is poor. On top of that, they’ve recently increased their fees, despite the drop in service quality. These issues aren’t just my experience — the recent reviews speak for themselves. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Capital Care anymore. If you’re after clear communication and consistent care, you’re better off onboarding somewhere else.

I've always felt well looked after here. The nurses were so great with my newborn daughter and her vaccinations, and despite staff turnover, I've always felt the doctors are kind and thorough with their assessments. Staff also arranged an urgent phone appointment last time I needed antibiotics.

Called in hoping to enrol for a new GP with Capital Care, was told "Even if I left my current medical centre they would refuse to accept me in future because they knew I had been with someone else previously" LOL I can't make this up. I let them know I would be happy with waitlists, I let them know I wouldn't mind coming in in future if it suits, I told them I was leaving my other GP and wanted to prioritize another. Zero sympathy / professionalism. I don't write bad reviews anywhere but damn. How hard is it to just say "I'm sorry sir but we're full to capacity at the moment, you can try again in future but I can't in confidence say you'll get a spot. Best of luck."

Frustrating!!!! I have been a patient here for years now (around 20) and the practise has deteriorated as mentioned by some other reviewers. I am not too fussed re dif docs as I am happy with any appts but this is unfortunately very true. There is a high turnover of staff. My hang up is a lack of communication. My daughter has been sick (just a cold but she's only 1 so it took its toll) and was due her vaccinations. I informed CCHC that we would be in touch as soon as we felt she is well enough to cope (within 2 weeks) with her jabs but they continued to ring and/or txt. I was also unwell so patience was at a low. It was honestly bordering on harassment. I got sick of explaining myself. Not sure if it was ignorance or communication in the end. Also have felt some push re beliefs at times and also had my test results yelled at me from the reception desk by the nurse as I was leaving. Luckily they weren't anything too major. Still a breach nonetheless and pretty awkward. Miss the old systems and staff if I am being honest.

Didn’t see me until 30 mins after my appointment was supposed to start and was there 10 mins early. But “doctor was talking to nurse that whole time”. So unprofessional. Had to switch doctors and got diagnosed straight away after a professional inquiry into my symptoms. These people are dangerous . Put me on antidepressant when the condition I came in for had nothing to with mental health. Made me think it was all mental but switched doctors and it’s a physical illness that capital care missed cos they’re uneducated and unprofessional. They don’t follow up on any complaints as well.

Great reception, kind, friendly and very welcoming. I came in 45 mins early then I should have and not only did they push me forward to see my appointed doctor, they were also very professional about it and did it in an orderly fashion.

Switched here recently, regret it. Uneducated doctors using google for their answers. Doctors seem disengaged and lost. Never saw the same doctor was always different. These are the cheapest doctors in town but don’t waste your money here.

Truly horrendous place. I have tried to give this place a chance again and again but I'm officially over it. I had an incredible doctor when I first joined. Literally an angel - Dr. Anna Kang. I think I'll always be looking for someone as good as her and probably won't find it. She left years ago and I stayed on. I got a new GP, Dr. Laura Garlick. She was very good. But then she left too. Then I didn't really have a GP but was enrolled at the clinic. Things have completely deteriorated since then. Takes a long time to get appointments. You'll see someone new each time. One of the times, I was told I didn't have depression and anxiety, but I needed purpose in my life and should go to church and find religion (but a very specific form of religion that matched the doctor's I was seeing). Texted me through the clinic his church details. Quite unprofessional but I gave it a pass since he was a nice guy. The last event though was a final straw. I got covid 11 days before flying to the USA to see my family who I haven't seen in 3 years. I was recovered by day 7, but according to the ministry of health guidelines, you can still show positive for up to 28 days after you've recovered. This is why you need a doctor's note for the airlines to say you are fit to fly even though you cannot produce a negative RAT. Well, this doctor didn't know any of the guidelines. He also claimed that I was breaking the rules and I should still be isolating because I coughed up phlegm once while in his presence. He then proceeded to make up a new protocol where he would only give me the go ahead to fly if I produced TWO negative RAT tests. I obviously was going to test positive because that's the reason I was there for the note! A complete waste of time. Totally rude about it, zero empathy, complete ignorance of the current MOH protocols, and travel guidelines. Needless to say, I nearly couldn't fly. I had to search around for a second opinion. I finally found one and they gave me the all clear in the eleventh hour. I had to miss the final days of work prior to my departure sorting out my travel plans. So many tears, frustration, and anxiety when I followed the rules and was well. I went home to see my elderly mother who obviously never got it because I WAS RECOVERED. The attitudes this place has to covid is as if we are still trying to eliminate it from our borders. Zero updating to the thinking or even staying in step with MOH protocol. I'm out. Changed GPs. Final straw.

I've been here several years and although they are cheaper than other places, they are constantly changing doctors - without warning! Each time this happened they promised me the new doctors weren't going anywhere but they all lasted less than 1 year. When you have chronic health issues you need to build a good relationship with your GP and this isn't possible here. Lots of time wasted (on my own coin!) explaining my medical history again and again. Don't waste your time and money here. It also takes a long time to get an appointment, at least a week, sometimes a month. Once about a year ago I was actually suggested by the team to go find another practice as they didn't think they could support me anymore. How's that for caring.
