   I have been going to the medical centre for about 17 years and always feel well looked after. Reading through the negative reviews I understand that sometimes you have to “shop” for the right GP. It needs to fit and I also changed gps within the centre. Just be more proactive and work with your GP. As I said. 5 stars from our family and we have been through a lot of issues ourselves. But these great people always have our backs!

   Reading through current reviews there seems to be a pattern of less that good experiences for people who require a bit more care and time due to chronic issues. Both my daughter and I have been with the practice for over 25 years and our GP left early 2024. Our new GP has been extremely difficult and has only added so much more stress and uncertainty to my daughter's life. My daughter was unwell for 7 years & we sought help with so many Dr's and Specialists to find a diagnosis. Finally in 2024 we got this and despite this formal specialist diagnosis, we have been told we are 'Dr shopping' and we have been treated at times like we are drug seeking. The Dr has questioned and delayed medication prescribed by our Specialists and refused to prescribe some items despite Specialist approval. If youre seeing a GP there for day to day issues, im sure the care will be great but for any long term conditions I would be very wary. When we addressed our concerns the friendly, congenial nature of the Dr changed in favor of being quite malicious. On a positive note, Avon who works at reception and Rachel, one of the practice nurses are both lovely & helpful.

   Walked in to see if I could make an appointment as I live locally. The ‘receptionist’ behind the fully enclosed glass looked at me as I entered and I said a friendly ‘hi’ whilst walking towards her which she did not respond to, just kept staring in silence. There was nowhere to speak with the receptionist and there were people all around in the waiting room. Utterly bizarre, certainly not the way to make someone feel comfortable with an unknown situation in which they’re expected to be vulnerable.

   Multiple doctors made me feel very patronized/condescended and entirely unsupported with my ongoing issues. They were fine with the quick fixes like eye infections, but overall it felt like bare-minimum care to me. Maybe I need more support than the average person but this really felt like it wasn't worth the money, time, or energy.

   Treated like a drug seeker by the nurses when ever I call about my meds ,I live with chronic pain and extreme anxiety and crippling depression I also have 2 jobs and being messed around like this over something so simple is not on not impressed will find some where else.
