Grabbed a the classic pacadita (Platter for two) and it was a great introduction to Venezuelan cuisine. Everything was well balanced and fresh, would highly recommend
Oh my stars, hadn't heard of this spot but walked in w the misso n our youngest. Had a seat on the bar n started watching the food get cooked. Shiiiiiet, felt like senator Clay Davis.... the food came out and it was all ON. We got the sharing plate for 2... talk about a1 way ticket to flavor town. The arepas looked nek lev. Was dope for wife too asshe celiac and they cateredtp that without a flinch...
I'm a big fella who gets pretty hangry. A mate recommended Olas, and it was really good. New flavours for me which I loved. I'm plant based which their menu catered for. Yum!
Love the rustic atmosphere. Friendly and efficient service. Food presentation A+. Lots of different items on the platter. My fav was the halloumi and the cassava fries were good too.
A 5 star experience all round. Both staff members were friendly and chatty and made me feel welcome. It was my first time trying food like this and it was excellent. Ingredients were high quality and very tasty. I couldn’t recommend this place more and will definitely be back.
Okay food, but overpriced for what it is. Ambiance is pretty loud with some shocking quality Logitech speakers from the early 2000s. Service was also okay although seemed very short on staff while we were there. Menu was good at accomodating for gluten free and coeliac options although some sauces were gluten containing so definitely double check. Overall an okay experience, I would go back again but probably not in a hurry.
Food was very tasty! Easy to follow menu, staff were helpful when we couldn’t decide and their recommendations were great. Love how you can sit at the counter and watch the food being prepared. Very cool music that suited the ambience. The only problem is trying to find a park close enough to Ponsonby Central!
