Ok so if your looking for the best sushi train ever then you've found it. Man o man this place is amazing. The food is fresh and chock full of flavour. The popcorn prawns is next level. The crab dish was to die. Everything is priced as expected. The staff are friendly and fast I will go back for sure

All good. Can reserve a booth in advance. Treat to have Hello Panda strawberry and chocolate filled biscuits. They do chicken and beef bites with rice( sorry can’t call that sushi).

Without exaggeration β€” the best sushi in New Zealand! Every bite is a celebration of freshness, balance, and perfection. The fish is top quality, the rice is flawless, and the service is fast and friendly. The unagi is absolutely magnificent β€” tender, aromatic, beautifully glazed, and melting in your mouth. The scallops are pure luxury β€” the very peak of flavor! And the toro β€” simply exquisite, rich, buttery, and perfectly balanced β€” a masterpiece of taste. Sushi Train is a place you’ll want to return to again and again β€” a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Japanese sushi done right.

So much fun with the kids, we were there really early, so plenty of families also in. Huge welcome at the door and we were straight into grabbing plates. Got a couple of custom made plates too. Overall great food and experience. I’d go back again and the kids would to.

We came to Sushi Train to celebrate my sweetie's graduation from his toddler rugby class...it was his special request. We didn’t make a booking, but arrived about 10 minutes before opening and queued outside. One of the staff, who happened to be walking past on their way in, kindly invited us to wait inside, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly, and attentive; the level of service really stood out. As for the sushi itself, it was as close as we’ve found in New Zealand to authentic Japanese-style sushi. That might not be to everyone’s taste, but if you’re after something that reminds you of the real thing, this is the only place I know that truly delivers. It’s not just the usual crowd-pleasers;there are options that would definitely appeal more to Japanese diners.

Amazing!! You have to be fast to grab the food. We booked our table online and glad that we did. The dessert were highly rated by my children!! Moochi, creme brulee, and the cheesecake delightful. The octopus balls were out this world!! Can't wait to go back $120-00 11 plates and three very full people afterwards!!!

With high google reviews I had higher expectations than I probably should have. I never go full in when checking out a sushi place like this so I started with my favorite Hamachi, and Unagi. Neither of them were that good. The fish is thin and the rice is so so. They charge $1 for hot tea, which is usually something sushi restaurants give out as free service. 4 pieces of mediocre sushi and cup of tea for $16. New World market has better sushi for $13 and would been twice the amount of the food. The only thing I liked about this place is that many of the workers were Japanese. I will not be returning here. You can pull sushi off the moving tray, or order directly with the sushi chefs. They gave me a marker with the menu, maybe I could have marked the ones I wanted and handed it to them also.

One of the best feelings in the world is to be starving, you sit down, and immediately get to eat. That's the perks of sushi train. As soon as you sit down you can pick up a plate and munch! Quality is consistent, and ordering a la carte is easy and quick too.
