   I went to the Wellington hospital for a clinic visit. They are still masking up in order to protect the patients and staff inside the hospital. The masks are free, as is the hand sanitizer at the door of the hospital. The atrium is big with lots of head-space. It even has a grand piano towards the escalator and sometimes have live music playing. The wards are accessible by a set of lifts to the right side of the atrium. There is also an out-patient's clinic going up the escalator. As far as things to buy for patients, there's a sjop to buy flowers in this space and a food shop further to the back of this space. If you get lost there is always the help desk to refer to, which is staffed by helpful, friendly staff members.

   Wellingtonians are very fortunate to have a hospital of this caliber in their city, and even more so, that the skills of its dedicated nurses, doctors, and surgical staff and equipment is free!! So many of us believe that the USA is a wonderful, wealthy country, but nothing, absolutely nothing, is free over there! Here, with so many people being hospitalised with covid, and a myriad of other often life threatening ailments, they are treated and discharged, fit and healthy to get on with their lives. In the USA, they are discharged with a million dollar medical bill, or are required to continue paying eye wateringly expensive medical insurance premiums!! So please, please, treat all the medical staff with the respect and courtesy they deserve. They are all doing their very best for you, often under very difficult and trying conditions.
