   You may have a slight wait, because food is always fresh, nothing is reheated and fish raw and sashimi are not carried over. Staff are so warm, you just want to be there! 100% recommend eating here. Everything is good!

   Popped in for some fish and chips on a rainy day. Ate in store rather than take away (only a small area). Fish and chips weren’t at all oily, beautiful white fish, best ever home made potato fritters (we call them potato scallops), and a great beef burger. Lady at counter was very friendly.

   Very average. Ordered the fish burger, the chicken burger, the fish of the day and a scoop of fries. The fish of the day was Gemfish. It would have been good expect the batter was undercooked and soggy. The fish burger was fish (oily), coleslaw and tartare sauce from Gilmores. The chicken burger was pretty much the same with a highly processed chicken patty. The fries were the highlight …..even though they were crinkled cut (I prefer straight cut rather than crinkled supermarket fries). If the fries out weigh the seafood….somethings wrong. Just an average experience….for $30 Great service from the young fulla on the till, good on ya mate!

   The most valuable meal I've eaten in Kumeu so far - based on the price and quality. I ordered a fish burger and chips from the store. The portion is huge, it's freshly fried after I ordered it. There are also types of sauces I could add myself. The staff's attitude is great, checking in with me during my meal there. Would definitely visit again.

   The fisheries is a gem of the town. We were fortunate to stop by and had Gemfish and chips. The Gemfish was the fish of the day. We were lucky to talk to the owner. Actually, everyone was so wonderful and lovely. They are knowledgeable and helpful guiding you with any tourist questions. Their food selection is perfect. Very tasty, you will not go away hungry. The best value for your money and most of all, the experience was memorable; we’ll be back soon!
