Overall it is a great environment for a weekend chill out and catch up. FOH team is friendly. Oredered a salmon benny which didn't quite enjoy: size is smaller then other cafe, less salmon slices and spinach.
Terrible experience, we were regulars here up until today. However, I have lost all of my trust in the staff (I believe the cafe manager). I came in with my elderly father and beagle, Sookie where the staff member/manager accidentally dropped the ramekin of garlic aioli just as I had stepped out to wash my hands. I completely understand that accidents happen although after dropping the garlic aioli, the staff personnel did not say a thing to my father and had apparently gone back to grab a cloth to wipe the aioli away and within this time my beagle had wiped the floor clean. Dare I say that there was a load of napkins on the table that the staff could have utilised at the moment. All the while, dad was completely unaware of the fact that the sauce had been dropped. As a pet owner and being aware of the toxicity of garlic to our furry friends, I went into a bit of a panic as any pet owner would. I had to leave my food on our seated area to investigate further with the kitchen staff as well as having to call the VSA Animal Emergency to troubleshoot the scenario. The lack of care/ due diligence/ knowledge of the staff showed throughout the transaction. Just for future reference, floor staff should be trained on how to deal with such scenarios and made aware of such foods that could detrimental to a dogs health, especially when they allow them on site. This whole experience was unsettling and has left a sour feeling for us locals. I was very disappointed to say the least and underwhelmed with their lack of care. Especially, after I had asked for some water for my beagle. I waited 10mins for them to bring a cup of water out so we ended up leaving feeling deflated with the poor service, lack of care/due diligence. The cafe manager did not even follow up/check in on us or our beagle to see how we were going which made the whole experience even more dissatisfying. They have most certainly lost a handful of their regulars after this experience.
Had my reservations paying $28 for the big breakfast. Had abit of everything. Scrambled eggs cooked well and the hash brown delicious. The overall place needs a spruce up, water blasting the floor etc. it looked felt run down and tired. Despite being in a garden center didn’t feel wowed the plants/scenery.
Love this place! You have a choice to eat inside and outside. The people are friendly, professional and always genuine when they come around to collect plates etc. The food was amazing!! Looked and tasted delicious. We will be coming again for sure.
After being turned away by two cafes for having our dog with us, a kind lady at the parking lot came to us and recommended this one. Beautiful and cozy interior with a combination of cafe and plant shop. Plenty of space (outdoor but sheltered) for people to sit with pets. Also seems to be friendly for kids. Food was slightly to the expensive side but delicious. WiFi is available here. Lovely spot to visit on a weekend afternoon especially when weather is good.
Lovely atmosphere if you sit outside, but the food is pretty lousy for the price. I ordered Eggs Benedict with salmon. It came with an enormous under -seasoned potato hash and then as if they realised how tasteless that was, they drowned it in some sauce that seemed to have half a jar of whole grain mustard emptied into it. I found it inedible. Luckily the egg was well cooked and I could eat the tiny amount of salmon that was included, but overall, not great.
The garden cafe within Kings Plant Barn is really spacious and is dog friendly. The food is amazing and really high quality, it’s really reasonable pricing and it doesn’t take long at all. Plenty of parking and great for shopping and lunch at the same time
Decent breakfast for what you pay and nice ambience outside amongst the plants. Would happily come here again.
Lovely setting amongst different plants and fun for the kids too, exploring and seeing the different colours amongst the multitude of flowers. Food was delicious and did not have to wait long even though it was a busy mid morning. Great play space container for the kids to keep them occupied as you have a coffee within arms length so you are never too far from them. Great spot.
Awesome food great service and nice staff was busy so thought it might be a bit of a wait but food arrived before I expected. Nice outside surrounded by plants. And dog friendly
