   R & S Satay Noodle House never disappoints! The food is always amazing. You have to try the Deep Fried Rice Chicken, the chicken was incredibly moist and tender. Service is great. My only minor note is they don't give free water, which is a bit of a shame, but the food quality keeps this a 5-star spot.

   Great food. But no free drinking water, when every other restaurant has to supply water for free. No alcohol. No excuse. Argghhh. Why? Its a budget restaurant.. that fridge of coke aint selling. You are just selling yourself short. Foe every review like this , there are at least 100 people thinking the same. Come back, no, maybe, maybe not ?

   From the outside it doesn’t really stand out, but the food is honestly so good and the service is super quick. I tried the beef satay, Hainanese chicken with rice, and combination fried noodle. The beef satay is quite sweet, so maybe skip it if you’re not into sweet dishes. The chicken rice was my fave, a must-try! The spicy sauce that comes with it is sooooo tasty. The noodles were really good too, first time trying and I was impressed. They also have fresh lime juice. Just a heads up, the food smell does stick, so your clothes might carry the scent after, but honestly worth it.

   This has been our go to place for many years and food has always been consistent as the owners have not changed. Our favourites are the deep fried chicken wings, hainanese chicken rice, hokkien char and combination fried noodle. Owners are friendly and are always greeted with a smile. The decor is pretty simple but tidy and clean. Parking is ample however does get busy during the weekends.

   Review from our friend who had Combination Fried Noodle with Egg: "Honest opinion, it kinda has no flavour and it's kinda like slimy. But it's good if you wanted to finger workout" Hainanese chicken rice is good as always, meat was nice and moist. Dry Fried Kua Teaw is really good, even better with sambal chilli (need to ask and it's free). Bright coloured interior really gives off South East Asian vibes. Picture of Petrona Towers makes it feel authentic. Prices have gone up over the years, but understandable due to inflation...

   NZD18 for this plate of seafood fried rice noodle is worthwhile. It came with fresh prawns, squid and scallops. The rice noodle was fried sufficiently and the gravy consistency was to my liking. Usually I can’t finish a dish by myself but I did with this one. I just kept eating till almost the last piece of noodle.

   Had a pork fried rice for me and deep fried chicken wings and roti w/ satay sauce for my wife. Food was great and taste good. Downside for me is, they don’t serve free water, so you will be forced to buy a mineral water or softdrinks. I think all restaurants should have atleast free bottled water. Another thing is that, when I asked for a container to put our leftovers, they are charging $1 for it (and they are quite small). So if you are wanting to dine here, this is just a reminder that, There are a lot establishments around cuba street that offers free water and take away containers.

   Very generous portion sizes. I enjoyed the chicken rendeng ($20), however I didn’t realise how much desiccated coconut it would have and it was slightly overpowering. The prices here have also risen but that’s understandable with the rising cost of food.
