Well I can safely say that the Regional Manager Rehana, at Pascoes Porirua, didnβt come top of the class in customer service skills training. It was such a fun experience being ignored by her for at least 20 minutes when I visited the store this week, (couldnβt think of anything else I would rather be doing), even though she knew I was unhappy about a set of gold earrings I had purchased as a gift for my daughter. The butterfly had broken not once but twice in the space of a few days, having already replaced them once. It was clear the design was not fit for purpose. As my daughter and I pondered our somewhat limited choices she basically left us to serve someone else. This must have taken at least 20 minutes. There was no acknowledgment that we were waiting, no word that she would be with us shortly, we just got blanked. It was embarrassing. Even when she had finished serving the other customer, it seemed she was deliberately taking her time, still no acknowledgement that we were standing there with no resolution. She finally offered a refund - ungraciously - whilst saying this wasnβt normal policy, as if she was doing me a favour. Honestly this could have gone so much better, the other staff members were very sweet, however due to her lack of engagement and willingness to make good, I decided I would rather take my business elsewhere. I will certainly think twice about shopping there again.

No one came to see if I needed anything. I was there for at least 20 minutes and no one asked me anything. Then other customers arrived and they were served first. That's the worst customer service. I will never return to this store.

I visited to purchase a birthday gift for my mother. I was holding cash in my hands but the lady that served me, had asked if I had wanted to pay in little installments? My visit today, lasted ten minutes. Anyways, there were two staff members that were trying to help two customers that felt like they were being ripped off, on the other side of the counter from me. And although the lady that served me was kind enough to start the watch before wearing it herself and then dropped it, picked it up and then replaced the watch, before adding a warranty card into the gift box that was supposed to be presented to my mother, I couldn't laugh. The worst customer service, so I absolutely do not recommend. However, I would visit again and give them one more chance for them to show me that my experience was a one-off? Note: All types of caps, hats and helmets are not permitted inside Pascoes. There are surveillance cameras in the store. And you will be followed around the store, if you're just browsing. Especially after the paranoia set by the Ram Raids, earlier this year.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY!! Itβs been two months since I bought an engagement ring to my partner and Iβm still waiting for a resolution. I was told that I could downsize the ring but thatβs not possible. What should have been a joyful gift has turned into a stressful and dissatisfying experience due to the poor customer service and mishandling of the situation.

Had a genuinely lovely shopping experience. Walked in for a watch. They had a surprisingly robust selection of practical watches; I walked out less than fifteen minutes later with a functional, stylish watch with all the features I wanted. Really recommend the sales lady who helped me, as she was pleasant, helpful, and funny. I am very pleased with my watch, and would like to thank the people in the shop during my trip.

Second time I've been let down by this store. It's only a couple of days till Christmas & I'm waiting waiting for someone to contact me about a chain bracelet off the latest sale promo. Last time no one ever contacted me. Is this on repeat. Not good for the store is it

The racism is strong here. Visited Pascoes jewellers in North city plaza Porirua, twice before to buy presents. Been told twice over the past couple visits to take my hat off but allow other Caucasian customers to wear their hats.. 0 stars if I could and I'll be posting a little video detailing this on my socials. Have shopped here for nearly 30 years but will not buying here again....

21/10/21 (This review will cover 2 visits) Called in today as I had a watch that I thought needed a new band (too small). It didn't help that I didn't say why, so after discussions about ordering a new bracelet band from Aust. it 'clicked' with them that they could just reattach a link and make an adjustment to the catch. It worked and I'm now ok to wear it. All 3 ladies in the store were friendly & very helpful. And there was NO CHARGE. I'd also visited the previous week (17/10) looking for earrings for a family member. The staff again were very helpful, explaining the different properties of the various colours of gold, and I purchased a pair of yellow gold earrings. Bonus: the earrings were on sale. Summary: I've always found the staff here professional yet friendly (a greeting as you walk in), helpful and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back and I'll recommend the store to others, too.

Update to my review below: Was served by Danielle last week when I took a watch (not purchased there) in that needed repairs. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and gave me options and costs for getting the repairs done. She is a credit to the store. My first visit to the store. Busy store with friendly staff. I took a watch in that was purchased elsewhere to have the strap adjusted. I popped back less than ten minutes later and it was all ready, went to pay for the adjustment, but there was no charge, even though watch was not from their store. So, there are still some things in life that are free and come with a smile! Thankyou
