   Took puppy in for a vet check before buying. Lovely people in there fitted us in without an appointment. But unfortunately they missed checking teeth properly and we found out later that it had terrible teeth so had to take it to hunterville vets and they wondered how the first vet missed picking up on how bad they were. Such lovely people in the wairarapa vet club but will be sure to check it ourselves next time too…

   Me and Partner took our beloved chicken in because she had a broken and few little tears from a dog accident. About that she was completely fine still eating, drinking. We were low on money. And asked it we could pay it off for her to get properly checked, X-rays ect. which was going to about 300 to 500 which we didn’t have. They told us no because we were new to their clinic. This was really heart breaking for us. All we could only afford was euthanasia. And they wouldn’t let us leave with her, without making a decision which was clearing euthanasia. The vet nurses were were kind tho and understanding. Not too pleased about one of the receptionist. I thought to be a bit rude. So I wouldn’t suggest for new clinic members to come on a serious matter.

   Took a 5 month old dog with several serious facial injuries while on holiday over the Easter weekend. Understandably a busy time, but when a dog has its eye half out of its face you'd expect that a vet service at the very least would assist in referring us to another vet considering the severity of the injuries. Instead all they could sas was "We're jammed up". Really unprofessional behaviour and a lacking sense of empathy.

   Vet Services is a best practice clinic. Their staff are caring and easy to deal with. They have vets with "specialist" areas eg a rabbit savvy vet. They do large animals and small, home visits and in clinic.

   The people who are part of the Vet Services family have been looking after our furbabies for over a decade. Latest patient is this kid (see photos, she's the Chihuahua), who has had surgery, and the aftercare is phenomenal. Friendly, empathic, funny, gorgeous people who really know their stuff.
