DO NOT BRING BIG DOGS We had a larger dog (Staffy-cross) that was a super lovely pup, unbelievably cuddly for his size. But he did not like wearing a muzzle. When we visited this vet, our dog was forced to wear a muzzle otherwise they wouldn't see him - we would manage to get the muzzle on and keep the dog calm enough to get checked. Unfortunately, our dog did not get checked properly. After close to a dozen check ups at this vet over a few years, he passed away from cancer. He had lumps on his body we were told were benign, and that his low energy would be from his diet. None of the above were checked by looking at the dogs vitals or anything deeper than just an eye exam. These vets seem very scared of a larger dog, and very nervous around to be able to do an actual good job as a vet. Despite our dog being a lovely little beast. As much as we are glad that our dog did not have to go through anything that would have caused him pain or discomfort, we wont be going back to this vet because we really feel like they let us down. They may be better with smaller animals, but not bigger dogs.

Can’t recommend enough. Various emergency situations that St Luke’s Vets have been extremely caring, helpful and empathetic through. I would like to highlight the professionalism of both James and Andrew. I felt assured the care of the animals was priority. They are both experts and obviously animal lovers. Thanks to the entire team.

I have sat on this for a while, but the more I think about it the more upset I get, I feel it’s only right to warn people. My cat, which was like my child, was 19 years old. He got sick, and had been getting sicker throughout the year. Many pills and tests were done. It had got to a point that I had to make the decision to end his life. I didn’t want any more heroic attempts to diagnose him which would have been pointless given his age and state (and bankrupted me in the process). The truth was he probably would not have lasted another 24 hours given he was struggling to breathe. I took him home and was booked to come back in the next morning for euthanasia. Firstly, the sheer number of tests and scans they wanted to do was ridiculous (thousands of dollars). I felt they were praying on my vulnerability given how much I loved this cat. Secondly, when my kids and I came in the next morning distraught we were made to sit in the waiting room with other people. No extra care or empathy was given to us. Even paying the bill afterwards I was in tears. My kids took him to the car wrapped in a blanket we brought in. The reception and Vets were emotionless. The more I’ve thought about it the more disgusted I am. I’ve had to put one other animal down when I was a kid (different clinic) and the exact opposite was done. We were taken to a room the minute we arrive. Everyone at the clinic showed care and empathy. They even put a flower in a box they had curled the animal up in. We were given nothing. Just his body to carry out. I would not recommend this place. Money focused, animal and owner deficient! I couldn’t respond to your message. My point is you didn’t offer all the options. You offered me thousands of dollars worth of tests. You never even raised euthanasia, it wasn’t an option. You chose money over the welfare of my cat. I had to suggest it and I was made to feel horrible for it. The vet just sat in silence when I suggest it and it literally became a business transaction from that moment. Putting down any animal is a horrible decision. And I had to be so strong (in front of my children) and make the decision that was right for my cat. Taking him home he was so frail and was in so much pain. It makes me so sad to think about his last 24 hours. It was torture. Your clinic showed no support or empathy for the decision I had to make. If 10am was the busiest time and not the right time for us then you should have suggested a better time. Bringing people in and not being prepared for a traumatic experience is unprofessional. My 2 kids and I left that clinic in tears and there wasn’t one word of sympathy. Not one. That was not in any way helping us through an incredibly difficult time. The fact you wrote this response on here and didn’t pick up the phone to me says all I need to know. You care about your clinic over the animals and pet parents. Because if you cared about my experience you would have called.

We absolutely love our vet Dr. Nadia Back (and the incredible team at St Lukes Veterinary Centre). Earlier this year we added a new "furry family member" to our household, a beautiful little ragdoll kitten we named Latte Petals. Nadia and the team have been amazing! They have been so gentle, so kind and they are always so welcoming, and so professional to deal with. I believe it is so important to build a strong trusting relationship between your pet and their vet from an early age and it is just a real pleasure to go to St Lukes Veterinary Centre. We know our little Latte and her brothers are in the very best hands with St Lukes Veterinary Centre and we couldn't recommend Dr. Nadia and the team more highly.

The St Lukes vets are such a professional and caring clinic - I am very happy to have chosen them for our dogs. We have unfortunately had to put a dog down there and they were super caring, talked through my options and helped make the awful process as kind and humane as possible - all the while I kept blubbering. They have seen our animals on very short notice when we thought they were in pain and even rung us to move appointments up when they thought the issue should be addressed sooner. They have rung to see how the dogs are the day after care and been super friendly, kind and professional. Highly recommend

quite upset with the unexpected canceling- not here to bad talk anyone just warning out that i placed an appointment for my kitten 1 month in advance and when arrived on the date of my booking they said i had not had a booking yet i had a text from the day i made my booking confirming the booking. when called up they said it was cancelled with no note left. a little ridiculous that i was not contacted about the cancellation. staff are all great and helpful but just call and confirm a wee in advance on your booking to make sure it hasnt all of a sudden been cancelled.

Always late! And very expensive Every time I bring my cat we wait for at least 20 min past our appointment time. Today it was 45 min so I had to write a review.. It’s so distressing for me and her. She meows the entire time and upsets all the other animals. I always book early in the morning. Wonder how long is the delay later in the day. .. Is there a way of making this smoother? May be tell us that you are running late?

We are always impressed by the staff at this vet. With three cats (one who gets in fights), we're in here quite a lot. They're often a little busy, but I have always been given the time to ask any questions (no matter how silly). Every member of staff makes me and my pets feel comfortable and welcome. I appreciate being able to book appointments online. While same day appointments are not usually available, we have never had to wait longer than a day or two. The staff has always let us know of other options such as after hours emergency vet clinics or other clinics that may have availability.
