Had an amazing dinner here. The service and staff are fun and delightful. Always polite and attentive to our table needs The food, wow. The pork belly bites I could live on for each meal. Everyone loved the meals. Wish this restaurant was closer, but will def be visiting again in the near future
If I could give a higher start than 5, I would. By far, the best service I have ever received. We were treated like family, and our meals were top notch. I peronally had the pulled pork burger for my mains and shared a Caesar salad and a tasting platter shared at the table. Melt in the mouth, cooked to perfection, and so much flavor. We didn't take out pups along, but I see it is also a very dog friendly place, which I don't see a lot of these days. My kids were entertained by Laura and the kids entertained boxes which each child got when we arrived too. A box of colouring in crayons, a picture to colour and we got a wee bag of scrabble letters to play with while we waited for our food. I highly recommend DIT to anyone looking for a dog and child friendly place to eat, not to mention the best Lychee Martini, the best service, and the amazing food!
Food was amazing! I loved the coffee cured kingi. Light and satisfying, perfect for warm days. My friends enjoyed their pork belly bites a lot too. Would definitely come back asap.
The food was great and unique. It was an amazing experience trying out Dutch food! I had the coffee as well which tasted different. The food did take time so if you may need to reserve a decent amount of your time if you plan to dine here. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is excellent and the art is mesmerising.

Cooked to perfection, it danced on our palates with just the right amount of crunch, leaving us craving for more. As for the mains, the steak and lamb held their own, delivering solid punches of flavor that left us wanting for nothing. But beware the double-fried chips, for their intensity is not for the faint-hearted! And while the salad accompanying the lamb may have been a tad over-seasoned, it couldn't dampen our spirits. To cap off our culinary escapade, we indulged in Dutch pancakes, a delightful finale to our meal. Though a touch more lemon wouldn't have gone amiss, they still managed to hit the spot. We went there for a quick dinner on Friday night and we absolutely loved it. Nice atmosphere, sincere service and over all good food. This place will most like become my lunch spot during work lunch breaks.

Another fantastic dinner at DIT! The food was incredible - the lamb shoulder stoof was especially fantastic. They also had a Chicken schnitzel special which was delicious. One of the best restaurants on the North Shore!
Took my wife to the Dutch Bistro for her birthday with the family. Can only say, and we love our food, the meal was spectacular and special. Thank you for the lovely evening, we are so lucky that Birkenhead has gained another super talented chef.
