Went there before to pick something up for a friend. Man at the front was very rude and agitated not to mention unfriendly. I hope the service here improves,
Ordered a bag online and initially received the wrong item in the mail. When I took it in, the gentleman who sorted the issue was incredibly helpful. He apologised profusely for the mixup and immediately exchanged for the correct item with no fuss. Docked a point for the mixup initially happening, but the service I received in store restored my faith and I'll definitely be using them again in the future. (I'll just make sure I do my shopping in store rather than online.)
would have loved to support this shop, shame the old guy working created such an awful space to be in. came in ready to splurge, only to walk out empty handed and annoyed.
DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!! we bought the incorrect tyres for my kids bikes a month ago. Took them straight back the next day only to be told they have no refund policy. They agreed to take the tyres and my receipt to get their accounts person to refund us. At present, we have no tyres, no receipt and are still waiting for our refund. Bought 13 May and it’s now 12 June.
Really bad customer service, incredibly unfriendly and condescending man. He didn't listen to anything I said and kept looking at my partner. Had a strong feeling it's because I'm a woman and he's a man. Won't go back.
Always a cycle shop of choice with good prices for cycle clothing, shoes, bike parts, and unusual accessories and camping gear. Recently purchased bikes parts for my Rockhopper and old Avanti
Based on the The Customer service I have to rate 1. First I was asked if he could serve another lady buying one item after already starting his service with me. I said sure ok go ahead, although I felt it odd. Then the payment didn't work so her "simple" transaction took well over 5mins. Then, he turned to me and we spoke briefly and the phone rang. He said "do you mind" while actually picking up the phone. So I was left standing waiting while his conversation went on ...and on...and after another 7! minutes I and had to walk out to meet my son at the train station. He was still on thd phone as I left. Needless to say,.I shan't be buying my new bike from Pack n Pedal.
When Torpedo 7 told me to get lost because building (selling) new bikes is more important than caring for customers and fixing existing ones, I thought I'd go see Pack and Pedal. These guys rocked - they had my bike fixed in no time with no excuses and a great price too. My only gripe was that I had to phone to find out what the progress was but that was softened when I was told "you can collect it now, it's all done". I'll definitely be taking my business there again. Torpedo 7 can shove their business where the sun doesn't shine.
Went in on Monday to look at bikes for my fast growing lad. Went here because the staff have always been really helpful with things like parts and innertubes for the bikes we brought with us when we emigrated here 5 years ago. We had been a to a few other bike stores in Porirua but weren't that impressed by the prices or the lack of stock. We went into Pack and Pedal and the knowledge, helpful service and honesty of the staff meant we bought that day and left smiling. The stock and prices are much better than anything in the wider Wellington region. Then the bike wouldn't fit into my new car because of a fixed cage. The boss noticed, came and helped AND left me with the tool to put the cage down whenever I needed for free. We are loyal customers and would recommend this store to anyone looking for a new bike.
Great team, great service and always happy to help. We've bought 3 bikes and multiple accessories from the shop, also had bikes serviced, tyres fitted etc. The staff are passionate and know their stuff and are always willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommend popping into store if you're in the market for a bike or need a service. Thanks team!
