I ordered the Dubai waffle and she had the Nutella crepe. Well made and worth it as a treat. Little did I know that there was savoury crepe on the menu. Might try that next time. The staff are very nice. ❤️
If you join their rewards program, you get to earn points every time you spend with Ponsonby Crepes! Another cool thing is you get a free crepe on your birthday! And I claimed mine just this week, they were so nice that they even put a "Happy Birthday" on the plate! Their crepes are always delicious!
Wonderful and friendly customer service paired with fantastic-looking dishes made for a fabulous experience! The crepes had great texture and generous portions. They were a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but those who love really sweet treats will absolutely enjoy them. I will definitely be back to try a savoury crepe next time!
Yummy crepes. I ordered the Nutella with bananas. The location is more of a food court setting rather than individual restaurant. This time they added a huge teddy bear which was cute and great for photo op. I have been here about 3 times this year, love the place.
Best authentic French crepes in both sweet and savory! Their crepes are so soft and tender, the batter is thin. The must try has to be the smoked salmon and creamed cheese, my absolute favorite!! Crepes ranges around $15-22
Had the pleasure of meeting the owner on an Emirates flight to AKL. Introduced me to his wonderful Crêperie. As a globetrotter and food Aficionado, I knew I had to check this place out! I've been to France many times and know that the French take their wines, boulangeries and sweet seriously. The shop is located inside Ponsonby Central, a prime location with loads of other restaurants around. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with great ambience. I ordered the Supreme Poire Crepe - it was loaded with pears, roasted almonds and nutella - topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Presentation was beautiful, toppings were plenty. I took the first bite with my eyes closed and was immediately transported back to Bormes-les-Mimosas, a small village in the south of France where I had one of the best crepes ever. For me to have this feeling after trying their crepes clearly shows how authentic and delicous it was. For those of you who live in NZ, this is the closest you'll get to trying the real thing in France! Will definitely be coming back one day and promoting this place to my colleagues. Crepes are nice. Waffles have no flavour. Service is strange. Guess it's the first time they seen non white people. Wife wanted to try, our crepe and waffle maker produce better quality than this. Never again.
Used to come here often around 8 years ago when it was still called Crepes agogo, loved this place. Came here again moving back to NZ, and the sweet crepes were amazing as usual, but the savory ones greatly decreased in quality, with very few ingredients. It used to be filled with them and tasted the best! Not many places do sun dried tomatoes, which is my absolute favourite! Really wish they would go back to what they used to be.
We had a crepe breakfast for both of us. I had the Bleu (blue cheese from Auvergne France) and The Complete (NZ Champagne Ham, Cheese and Free Range Egg) which was delicious! The French speaking lady also help give authenticity to the food she prepared - good service too! Have breakfast here and get your coffee from the neighbouring stall.
Still great crepes. It is a favourite, have now been multiple times. 3pm is a great time, not crowded These were beautiful pancakes. Fresh and many different sweet or savoury options.
