The room looks nice in the photos but not great. The window seals are shot and the wind blows in knocking the have ruined blinds around making far to much noise. Speaking of noise you have a gym and club downstairs which pounds its music at all hours. There is a bird living in the vent which is in the room and it scratches around making more noise. The parking instructions are wrong and for 3 days have not seen the front desk maned once. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Affordable and friendly staff who were very accommodating, easy going & went out of their way to make our trip very stress free, travelling with someone who had to have his dialysis bags changed every 4hrs. They were awesome! Staff checked in everyday to see if we needed top ups, or rubbish emptied. Rooms were perfect & location was close to everything! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone taking a trip to Wellington, or staying close to Porirua.

Decent price, and the rooms are comfortable but make sure you don't leave anything behind. I've been trying to recover a laptop charger for about six months now and, despite them saying they had it and would send it back (I was happy to pay for postage), they haven't done it despite multiple contacts.

Absolutely amazing for the price! Yes, there is some noise from the exercise class some mornings, however that is not in the hotels control and is part of being so close to everything. The room is equipped with everything needed, we were able to cook our own food and even had a dishwasher! Comfortable beds, good shower and lots of soap/conditioner/shampoo provided. Much roomier than other hotels I have stayed at for the same price and perfectly located close to shops, the museum and the karate tournament we attended!

I found myself needing emergency housing without expecting to find any where at such short notice. Literally the same day. Right from the get go, the staff at The Post Hotel were amazing. Friendly, inviting and attentive, the staff at The Post Hotel catered to our needs as we needed them. The suite we were placed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable. All the facilities which included a fully functioning kitchen, full bath, as well as the communal laundry room, surpassed all my expectations. Donβt even get me started on the beds! Because they are the most comfortable beds I have ever had the pleasure of laying my head on in a hotel or motel, and I have visited many of them across the country. All the patrons of this hotel are friendly, caring and so generous! In the main lobby, sits a well placed small table, where guests are welcomed to place items to share with others who could discretely collect said items, that they may be in need of without feeling embarrassed. These things ranged from food, to clothing, toys and other household items. This particular display of generosity as well as the easy camaraderie between everyone in the entire building left me with a sense of community and familiarity, which in my opinion sets this hotel apart from any other. Although, I am happy to have found a home I am very sad to say goodbye to this place. I have been and am still very impressed with all the services and functionality of this hotel that I am thinking about asking to become a part time volunteer, as a way to utilise my business administration qualification to give back to the staff of this hotel and the guests. Highly recommend! A+++

Kia ora, What Kind of Trip? Sports: I booked in for Saturday night, Porirua Grand Traverse Event was Sunday so preparing the course all day Saturday for Sunday event, I received a text message from the hotel receptionist informing me that the doors are closed 24/7 & reception close 7pm & I have to ring to be let in, I was busy at the sports venue so I decide to run to the hotel pick the key up & run back to the sport venue. The hotel room/kitchen nice & clean I was on L3, I open windows to air I had no problem with Lift not working, I don't no how many times I ran/walked up & down those stairs good exercise for me. Few hours I was there, I loved it, close to EVERYTHING!! If I missed out on car park, so be it..I was too stuffed to notice any noise (if any) :) as my Sunday morning started at 7am - Thank you Casey & staff -

Loved staying here! The staff were very welcoming and helpful when I couldnβt get the tv working (turns out the remote needed new batteries, issue was resolved straight away!) The room was spacious and clean, the decor is minimalist and sleek which looks great. Stayed here 3 nights whilst visiting friends and I wish I couldβve stayed longer! Will definitely be returning at some point in the future! Thanks for a great stay!!

Brand spanking new hotel so amazingly clean. no heaters or aircon installed though, when we asked about it they gave us a space heater which took about 2 hours to adequately clean the room. the elevator makes a hell of a racket and wakes you up in the middle of the night.
