Hassle-free arrival to our (6 month) pre booked booking. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful woman showed us to our room and offered to help with luggage which was a nice offer. Room is nice and cosy, more than accommodating for our needs. Clean bathroom and is spacious Looking forward to using the back jets in the shower!
Had a very pleasant stay, the reception lady was very friendly and welcoming. I was very surprised with the room and bathroom being spacious and how clean everything was. I definitely will be coming back and would recommend to anyone else!
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY What a disappointment this business is. We had pre booked as location for the ferry is really good. We arrived with Ute and trailer and explained that it was quite long and would need to either be unhooked with two parks available, or, a super long park to accomodate. We could see in the car park that we could make either option work, but ‘manager’ on the Saturday was more intent on telling us that it would fit in a certain park, than listening to the needs we had to make it work. After telling her three times, she finally said “oh, it is quite long, what I suggested won’t work” No, that is right. You didn’t actually look and listen. Exterior of the building is old and rundown and in a super busy location. The room itself has been modernized, and would have been fit for purpose for one night………even if a bit odd smelling. Seemed clean enough? We have a small Cavoodle who travels with us and sleeps in our Ute in his bed (he is create trained) in the cooler weather. It was teeming with rain in Wellington today. We were aware the motel is not pet friendly, hence why we would never expect to bring him in, and never attempted too. After we unpacked, and settled the children, the manager told us her boss said, ‘no pets in the car, it’s our policy, you need to leave’ . Honestly, after traveling all day! The policy to have no pets in the car is invisible, it is no where. We understand no pets inside, it would be our policy too. There is even a $200 fine for finding a pet inside here. But, he was never inside. And we did nothing wrong. They admitted this. Terrible service. Terrible shouting manager. And all around a Mickey Mouse outfit. We can see why businesses close and make no money. DO NOT RECOMMEND HERE! Difficult people. We found a great spot, with more space, down the road……..I will leave them a glowing review!
We choose this motel as it was so close to Interislander Ferry. Absolutely lovely staff!!! The room we got was perfect for our small group of 2 adults and 1 child. Loads of parking and very easy getting into & out from the busy road. Highly recommend.
We had such a wonderful stay at Newlands Court Motel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. They went out of their way to be helpful, which really made our time there extra special. Everything was well taken care of, and the service was above and beyond what we expected. Thank you for hosting us and making everything amazing—we truly appreciated the warmth and hospitality!
Very convenient for the ferry. Just off the motorway so no docking around the suburbs looking for a place to stay. Hell Pizzas is the closest food I found, maybe 15-min walk. If you're tired, try uber!
July 2023. The method of internet connection via WiFi is just too hard and it doesn't always work first time. You really need to ditch it and get something much easier to use for customers. Zenbu is 0/10. Room was freezing cold; night attendant could have turned on the heat pump instead of playing on his phone; pretty simple customer service!
Rooms were nice but small, looks like they have been recently renovated. We had no hot water for showers all 3 days we stayed, which is a health and safety breach. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Sheets had stains and bed was hard and uncomfortable .Fridge had a freezer compartment that kept ice frozen that was great! Bathroom was nice and great size. Milk was never refilled and I had to look for milk in the mornings to have a coffee. Wifi is only free 1gb per day per room, then you have to pay. Overall, not a great experience. Wouldn't stay again!!!!!!
Stayed here 3 times over the last few months. Always had a great experience and rooms have always been immaculate. Nara is soo lovely and such a great host. Always remembers me and gives me a 5 star welcome. So close to both ferries (10 min drive) and I’ve found rates to be very reasonable for this reason. Will continue to come back to Newlands Court.
Not recommend for business people at all. I had a meeting with one of our supplier and couldn't connect coz of slow Internet. Then I had to use my mobile phone Hotspot. Poor service in overal. First night I woke up at around 2 am coz some people next to me decided they want to laugh loudly at midnight and they continued at least till 4 am. The same issue the day after (weekdays). It is coz of poor management. It is very expensive compare to what you get. I will never stay there anymore and not recommend it to anyone.
