We were pressured for.time to fet this item.and were assured by the target staff it wiuld meet the timeframe we needed. No communication that delivery wouldnt be made - no answer on phone line. Incredibly poor service. Issue could have been avoided with open and transparent communication

Recently bought 2 couches from Target with a 4 week timeframe on it but came early. I was kept in the loop throughout the whole process (from receiving the stock to transporting to Wellington to getting it delivered). Mainfreight were also AMAZING and so helpful getting one of the couches into the building and talking me through what to do when the other couch couldn’t get into the building. Spoke to Claudia from customer service who was so professional and kind and got everything sorted out for me in under five minutes. We will definitely be buying furniture from Target again. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced customer service as excellent as yours—from the assistance we received in choosing our headboard at the Lower Hutt store, to the support from your team over the phone, and the amazing Peter. To give you the full picture: after much back-and-forth with the lovely lady at the Lower Hutt store, who helped us with sizes and availability, we finally purchased a headboard. The headboard has studs as a decorative feature, and once we received it, I noticed one looked slightly out of line. I called your phone line to see what could be done and was given clear, helpful directions on where to send my concern. Within an hour, I received a call from Peter. We discussed a few options, and at no point did I feel like an inconvenience. We decided to keep the headboard we had, and even when I tried to contact Peter while he was away from work, he called me back—even on his day off. He submitted our request to the team and later followed up to ensure I had spoken with someone. This level of care, responsiveness, and genuine attention to the customer experience is rare and truly appreciated. Thank you to everyone I have interacted with, especially Peter!

Would give this place less than a star if possible. Have never had this level of horrendous communication, lack of follow ups, not doing what they will say, and continually losing information. I don't know how this place can continue to operate with the mismanagement that takes place. If anyone reads this, please do not shop here. We purchased a solid oak table that began to have cracks running down it... after a month of calling and waiting, it was finally replaced with a table that had even more cracks in the table top, fresh out the box. What is their quality control process? Would they not review the other items in their stock to see if the same issue is common? Instead they just send another… To organize them to collect the broken table took over 6 weeks of calling, promise they’ll sort it, never hearing back… chasing up… and it's been another 3 weeks of now waiting for a refund... still nothing. We call at least once a week and its always "No notes, not sure, will follow up, will call you back". They never do... Still waiting for the refund... Absolutely appalling and really hope there is an internal review of how much of a shambles this branch is at some point - can see similar reviews so this is clearly common. Please do not shop here!!!

We bought a rug from this store. The colour that we wanted was on back order with a long delivery time and we can't wait. Preeti from customer service was super helpful. She patiently helped us chose an alternative colour by removing the rug from packaging and lay flat on the floor to ensure the colour is suitable. Once the purchase was concluded she even helped us to carry the rug to our car. Superb customer service and highly recommend.

We bought a custom lounge suite from target. The in-store process was good, with help from the salesperson, however, when the couches arrived, two of the cushions arrived without buttons (the other 4 cushions were fine and had buttons as ordered). It then took 5 weeks to get this fixed, which is a ridiculously long time for such a simple fix. The communication with the store during this time was pretty hard work, and they weren't proactive in updating us

I purchased a Halsey King/Queen headboard from Target, after 2 weeks we were sent a stinky headboard with fungus all over it. It was pretty disappointing and unpleasant experience. Their delivery team did not do any checks before delivering product to customer. In the end i cancelled my order and got a refund on on next day. This was my first purchase and will never make any purchase from Target again.
