Theatre is very low quality- acoustics, lighting and seating are just not good. Do not waste your money bothering with watching anything here. The show we saw "Amelie the musical" was very underwhelming as well. We do not recommend.
This theatre hosts incredible performances! I loved getting to watch Laser Kiwi’s recent WIPs here, they are such superstars, always worth seeing. Also, Inverted Citizens’ circus/cabaret Revel was so much fun! They made use of both the theatre space and the cabaret format in really interesting ways, I would definitely recommend them if they perform here again!
It's not a bad little cabaret group. An MC, two singers, 2 hoop acts, and a clown/funny person. Could have had another couple of acts to add a bit more variety. It was great to see the Laser Kiwi Circus crew enjoying the show.
We saw Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. ( 23/4/24 ) And was thoroughly entertained. What a fantastic performance and show! Really fun, a big party onstage. The music was amazing & voices incredible!! The pianist on stage was so clever, playing, conducting, and interacting with the actors too. I enjoyed this so so much and would encourage everyone to go see this really professional, fun modern musical while they have the chance. The theatre is gorgeous and intimate, but with plenty of space. The stage was very easy to see and nice and close. The staff were lovely. I loved everything about it. Thanks for a great night's entertainment, Hannah Theatre, the cast, musicians and everyone behind the scenes of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812!!!
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff letting you know where you need to be. Overall great experience
Really friendly staff, nice bar area. Comfortable seating. Show was quirky and funny. The language was a little raw but I enjoyed the music, great voice. Great value for money.
Visited twice while the venue was being used for the Japanese film festival but imagine it is a great medium sized space for theatre productions as it's main purpose. Seating provides excelent views of the stage and not uncomfortable after 1.5hours. Acoustics were good. There is a bar in the mid level.
Great show, wonderful space. Auditorium a bit warm for me but the staff are a laugh and a half. Super friendly and helpful.
It is one modest building with modest public facility, but it records the historical mark, which makes people feel comfortable.
