The owner is very mean. We went to the shop and asked my kids don't sit on their chair. No wonder they closing down.
As awesome today as it was 15 years ago. So much choice, some great boutique options. Well worth a visit. Staff are super helpful too.
I bought a dining table and six chairs from here and have been very happy with it.
We initially bought a 3-seater and 1-seater reclining set in September 2020. Swift delivery with a 3 year warranty. Fast forward 2.5 years and unfortunately something broke and the reclining function was no longer. I emailed Les who got back to me straight away and offered to do a straight swap with a brand new 3-seater couch. Even though his showroom and warehouse were 2 feet underwater due to the floods in Wairau, the truck was in our driveway within 10 days. The two lads who swapped the couches over were so efficient. In and out in 15 minutes. Smiling, respectful, took time to let my toddler inspect the 'big truck', and took their boxes with them on the way out. Really pleased with the outcome of our warranty claim, and love the style of our couch. We also purchased a Queen headboard with our initial order. It's going strong. No sun fade, and has even survived the daily ritual of our cat using it to perch upon whist bird watching.
I have nothing but praise for the team at the Furniture Shop. I wanted to order something which was custom made, which housed a small bar fridge and a locked drawer. Giving the measurements of the fridge, they took this away, came back with a sketch, had it made, delivered and it is beyond perfect. Itβs a small thing but means a lot that they took the time to pay attention to detail. Thanks so much and Iβll be back!
We just got our bedroom furniture, a couple chairs and a few smaller items here. Good quality but we ended up with two bedside tables that would not fit in our room after basing our calculations on the measurements provided by the store staff to us. They took away the bedside tables but will choose to not to refund any money since they will blame it on us. They have tried to use as proof they made no mistake the measurements they sent us in the invoice at the time of the delivery, which obviously makes no sense. So we are stuck with store credit that amounts 20% of their sale but that we cannot really use at the moment since there's nothing we would really want to get from them right now. Really hoping they can change their minds. On the other hand the bed was promised to be assembled on delivery, which could not happen according to them due to Auckland L3 restrictions. The assembly was far more convoluted than explained and even a screw broke due to it being larger than the piece it was supposed to go in. I asked the staff to send someone to fix the problem since we needed the bed, which they did right away and which I sincerely appreciate.
There is a male sales person super rude! I think he seems like the manager maybe sit inside the cashier desk! Was in store checking an item a bought during sale. Whether I can exchange as it was too big. I was just checking and would understand if owner won't exchange. However, this guy said to me:" you got it on sale, what do you want!" So rude!! No wonder it is now closing down!
