   Along with our daughter and her bridesmaids we had the pleasure of staying at Lavender Hill during the weekend of her wedding. The open plan lounge and kitchen area has beautiful light perfect for wedding hair and makeup to be done. The rooms and surrounding garden and lavender fields are perfect for pre-wedding photography. The kitchen is very well appointed with plenty of bench space, crockery, cutlery and serving ware. We found the kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms all spotlessly clean and enjoyed melting into the bed at night. At times there were 14 adults and 2 children on site but there was plenty of space for everyone. Trisha and Jason were fabulous, kind, friendly accommodating hosts.

   We stayed at Lavender Hill for a wedding nearby. Trisha went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Four large bedrooms each with their own bathroom was absolute luxury. Trisha left us the most delicious foods- strawberries, blueberries, juice, milk, cereals and breads.. she even left gluten free cereal and bread for me. I can’t fault the stay. The best accomodation we have ever stayed in. Trisha asked us how we wanted the configuration of beds leading up to the event and made sure we were prepared and had everything we needed. She even had a portacot set up for us. Thanks so much for an amazing stay.

   We had booked the beautiful Lavender Hill in October 2024 for our wedding accomodation. The first night I stayed with my bridal party, it was perfect as there was a room for everyone, we were able to relax and unwind, and had access to a kitchen and everything we needed, the detail that Trish thought of was perfect. We then were able to use it as a spot to get our bridal party photos taken on our wedding day, which was perfect, as it was only 5 minutes from our wedding venue. Cannot recommend Lavender Hill enough, it was great.

   I stayed at Lavender Hill before getting married, and it was the perfect place for me to relax before my wedding and for getting ready with my bridal party! The setting is stunning and amazing for photos, the house is beautiful and spacious, the lighting is perfect for getting ready, the breakfast was delicious and Trish (the host) was so accommodating and lovely and even catered to my dietary requirements. I also loved the wall mural in the dining area and this was perfect for taking photos before the wedding. If you are looking for the best place to stay around Kumeu, look no futher!! :)

   Highly recommend staying here. Extremely comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting amongst the lavender and olive trees - so relaxing! Each room was thoughtfully decorated and had its own bathroom with great showers. The host, Trish, made us feel very welcome. We appreciated all the little details that made it a special stay, including a gin tasting, a wonderful spread of breakfast, fresh flowers, fruit and chocolate. Can't wait to come back.

   Our two families with kids aged 5, 12 and 17 had a lovely relaxing 2 nights' stay after a hectic road trip. Trish is so welcoming, she gave great dining recommendations (we had a wonderful dinner at the historic tavern). We enjoyed the tour of the farm and bought lovely gifts of lavender honey and limoncello for the family back home. It's been about ten days since we left, and we are missing Lavender Hill and the big, bright stars. We will be back! Thank you, Trish!
