   I messed up my booking and came a day early but they were happy to accommodate. They gave me an awesome undercut and a hot towel in 15 minutes for $25. The music was nice and at a low volume, the chairs are comfortable.

   Bad communication. I booked a haircut appointment 4 weeks in advance and received a booking confirmation for this appointment. However, on the very morning of my haircut, Studio36 suddenly cancelled my appointment less than 3 hours beforehand because they said they were closed on that day as it was a public holiday (Matariki). This was extremely last minute and if they knew they would be closed on this day, I wish they had told me a lot earlier (or, in fact, blocked out that day so that I couldn't book in the first place). Furthermore, when they text me that my appointment was cancelled, their initial text said that their staff tried to contact me earlier but couldn't. However, I had received no prior texts, calls, or emails from them except for the initial booking confirmation. This made it feel like they were not taking any responsibility for their poor planning by making a fake excuse (and they only apologised for this when I pointed out that I had no evidence of these alleged attempts to contact me prior to my appointment). They may be good hairdressers but unfortunately, this poorly handled situation meant that I could not experience that for myself nor am I interested in doing so in the near future.

   I am always stoked with the job Harmony does. It's a first-rate job and she's friendly, professional and efficient. Hux does a damn good job as well, and makes you feel incredibly welcome. These two have been cutting my hair for the past few years and I intend to keep it that way!

   Having been to a lot of different barbers over the years, I can honestly say that Studio36 delivers great style and service at an affordable price. The decor is modern, clean and very comfortable. Hux and Harmony truly are the dream team and both excellent at their craft. Hux has been cutting my hair for over a year now and I have had no complaints whatsoever. If you like having a quality chat while receiving amazing service this is the barbershop for you!

   Studio 36 is the best barber shop in town. Harmony and Hakota are two of the best barbers going, very professional, great attention to detail, I always leave feeling like a million dollars. The banter with the two is always entertaining. The shop is spacious and bright with really comfortable barbers chairs. No one does my hair and beard as well as Harmony does, perfect every time.
