My sister saw a curly hair brush online in Australia she wanted for xmas, but I preferred to buy in NZ so after googling came across Sable Hair. Quick delivery to Christchurch with a wee hand written card included.
Posting on behalf of my friend who wants to be anonymous: I came in to buy a good quality shampoo for my oily hair and get a fringe. I chose Sable because it’s iconic and has been around for ages. After noting to the hairdresser I was looking for a shampoo for my oily hair, the woman who cut my hair told me I had “the oiliest hair she’s ever seen” - which would have been fine - but strangely after my fringe trim, I found myself at the counter having to ask the staff on reception for some advice on the shampoo, and some styling product for my (oily) fringe. As an aside, my colleague ended up cutting my fringe to make it straighter - it was pretty uneven. It was a very strange experience, and honestly I’m sure I’m an anomaly as this place has great reviews! And it’s why I chose it. I just left feeling quite bewildered that I came in to get help with oily hair, got shamed for having oily hair, had to prompt to buy products to help with oily hair, and ultimately left, with oily hair.
I had the most amazing experience with Shayna Morar at Sable Salon. She was incredibly gentle with my hair and took her time transforming my extremely dry, frizzy hair into smooth, straight perfection with the Kerasilk treatment. Shayna also recommended a much-needed trim to remove my split ends, and I’m so glad I trusted her my hair feels healthier than it has in ages. And the head massage during the wash absolutely heavenly! Shayna truly has magic in her hands. I’ll be returning again and again. Sable Salon is lucky to have her she’s an absolute asset.

I found Sable online when searching for the fabulous Davines Nounou range and have been a regular customer ever since. My orders come promptly and well wrapped. So much easier than trying to track down product in Auckland. Over the years I have discovered several other cult products through their update emails … which only get sent when there is good content. These people know what they are doing and do it with love.
I love visiting Sable! As someone who only gets their hair done once (or maybe twice) a year, I really look forward to the whole experience of being in the salon. Shayna has done an amazing job on my hair the two times I’ve seen her and was so responsive when I wanted to come back and get my hair lightened a little more after one of those sessions. The whole experience is calming, friendly and fun. I can’t wait to come in and get pampered again soon ☺️

Cannot rave enough about the customer care I received online with Sable Fine Hair. I took a quiz on their website to find out my hair type and what products I needed, which then listed recommendations for me. Every recommendation was spot on and I ended up with an amazing shampoo for oily hair as well as an incredible dry shampoo which were delivered overnight to me. Beautiful experience. Shayna did a fantastic job of transforming my loose frizz into smooth curls. I left the Sable Salon with a new look and confidence. The salon is a wonderful environment with easy music, welcoming staff, and a nice selection of tea and coffee. Highly recommend!
