Great experience. The staff were lovely and accommodating, especially the receptionist! The dentist (Anne) who did my check up and subsequent procedure was awesome - talked me through the procedure, was quick and efficient!

This complaint is written in retrospect as I realised I did not make a complaint at the time. I had been a customer at this dental clinic for years and made an appointment to see the dental hygienist 6 months in advance. A week before my appointment I got an email saying that the Hygienist wanted to reduce her hour so the day and time of my appointment had changed. I quickly replied to the email saying that I had already requested the time off work to make the first appointment and I could not change my shifts around again at such short notice. The lady stated that there had only been a change in the TIME of the appointment, not the day and sent me through another email with the amended appointment time. I arrived on day of my appointment, told my name and time of my appointment to the receptionist to which she replied with a very rude, very petty 'no'....and that's it. My interactions with the receptionist lasted about 10min, during which time she was very rude and did not seem to believe that I had been in contact with someone who told me my appointment was on the same day, but at a different time. She continued to state that I had gotten it all wrong, until she FINALLY look at her emails and saw that I had in fact been told to be there at the time and date I arrived. She did not apologise and went on to say the next available appointment was in three months, I left and got appointment with with very well established dental hygienist that day. The way this situation was managed was disgusting, you run a health service, how dear you treat your customers in such disrespectful manner.
Wow these guys are awesome. Didn't even feel the injection and professional expertise which fixed a problem that was small but causing me alot of grief. Only ended up costing me $89! Now it's fixed and I'm so grateful. Highly recommend. Lovely staff.
I am extremely impressed by the service I received from Hillary and the team. The exam was very thorough and I left knowing exactly what the next plan was for my teeth & gums. It was my first experience with a dentist here in NZ after moving from the UK, and I'm really glad I picked Lumino in Lower Hutt as my chosen dentist. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and colleagues.
