Worst customer experience in my whole life, don't even deserve 1 star. AA member, I went to their shop and ask if they could help me to find a piece and fix it, the lady became really unfriendly when I told her that I was staying only 3 days in Wellington. She told me straight away that I was awkward to ask them a service, because, as she said, they are the busiest AA center in NZ and they don't do drive in. I don't know how many times she repeated that I was awkward, till I told her that I really didn't like it. At the end, she told me that she couldn't do anything for me and she threw the form I've complete to rubbish bin.

Didn't receive booking confirmation through their website and had to rebook. Went in for a battery change, a few weeks later I had a unrelated problem with my car which resulted in me having to go to the local subaru repairs shop. Subaru fixed my car but had said my new battery was not the subaru recommended "stop start" battery type.
I went back into AA to ask why they had not put a stop start or AGM battery in my car and all they said was that's what their website recommended. They didn't offer to upgrade, I was told it will probably be okay... I was not impressed how they handled the situation very rude and I'm still not sure if it's good for my car.

They contacted me after I posted my rating and offered to replace the battery and pay the difference, but not until I had removed my review from here.

Three times I’ve had to bring my utes in unannounced because of odd mechanical issues, and they’ve been completely accommodating each time, somehow managing to work me into their busy schedule with no complaints or extra charges. I always feel confident and comfortable when I bring my vehicle here, 5 stars.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! Unfortunately had a terrible Wof experience here. Failed wof, quoted $200+ for a sun visor clip (plastic bracket that holds the sun visor in place), plus 15 minutes labour at $145 an hour ($36 to screw a screw). Found one online ($5) despite saying it was impossible to find and that their $200 option was the only option, then tried again to charge me a labour fee despite doing the repairs myself (again, screwing the part in). They replaced my wipers and bulbs without my explicit consent, ended up doing a bad job at said repairs and had to get wipers replaced by them again. Of course, I paid a ridiculous labour fee when I could have replaced it by myself, hence why I requested a call before any work was done. Hand brake adjustment resulted in the cigarette lighter port dangling out and snapped. Drove back within 2 minutes and they said it couldn’t have been their doing, despite working in the handbrake area with all the ports nearby. My phone charger was taken out of the port and left on the floor, suggesting that they did in fact work in that area. Taped the broken port up and pushed it back in and said the job was done… when explaining my concerns to the mechanic for electrical safety/future functionality issues, I was met with no accountability, no idea of a solution, no concern for my property, and a group of workers sitting out back laughing. I received a call a week later, quoting me $140 for repairs for the damage that they did to the cigarette port and denied any involvement with the damage. The supervisor had no ability to understand the customers perspective, and leaped to defend his worker. When I disputed the case with head office, this workshop refused to collaborate with anyone and ended up blocking my calls.
TLDR: overcharged, damaged my car, did work without my consent, denied all claims, banned me from the workshop after refusing to come to a solution with me and head office.

Their staff are quite rude, although I cannot comment on their quality of service. While a friend helped pick me up from the place after doing a service, unfortunately he had a small accident with one of their staff's car (he was reversing and their staff drive fast to the garage). A few weeks later, their staff messaged me and said he'll take upfront payment from my card to repair his car, as he hasn't heard back from the insurance! I understand it's frustrating to have that happen, but I am shocked how their staff deal with it in such a unprofessional way. I am their customer and they try to take payment from my card in that way

The AA centre and the workmen are really good. They are very knowledgeable in European cars as well such as Volvo. Find parking inside during peak times tricky though due to the pavement entrance via pedestrian crossing. Apart from it recommend it very much
