   My late mother used to love your flowers. Yesterday was the anniversary of her death and I drove 50km in order to buy some flowers for her grave. Arriving approx 1.15pm I discovered the shop was ‘closed’ ( door grill was down but inside of shop still visible)- lights were on, computer was on, and reading glasses were on the counter. I had been told the shop had been open earlier in the day, so it just looked like it had been closed temporarily for a break-fair enough. But there was no sign mentioning that, or advising what time it would reopen- or even if it would- and on asking at a neighbouring store, we assumed that someone would be back soon. I waited for more than 45 minutes, also tried phoning- but eventually had to give up. Is it really too much to ask for a sign to be provided to advise your customers as to what is happening? Other shops advise return time if they need to close temporarily. It was a frustrating waste of my time, a totally wasted trip, and given the circumstances of why I intended buying flowers from you, quite upsetting. Could I have waited longer? Possibly, but with no idea if someone would return, I could have been standing there all afternoon. Hopefully you will take this into consideration so other customers don’t experience what I did.

   Got flowers from Sylvia back in April for a bereavement suffered by a workmate. Not only did the flowers make it to the tangi on time (more so at what was very short notice), the flowers lasted long enough for the burial in the Far North a half-week later. Thank you for the assistance in getting a card filled out and for suggesting appropriate flowers; hugely appreciated by not just my office peers but the recipient and his whanau as well.

   The flowers I ordered this morning were so gorgeous that you would literally believe it if somebody told you it was a bridal bouquet! I ordered the flowers for my friend’s new hair salon and they were so beautiful that my friend almost cried when he saw them. I’m actually from Sydney, so my friend was very surprised to receive flowers from me. I’m so glad that I was able to get in touch with Flowers by Sylvia from my Google search and that their shop is just minutes away from my friend’s hair salon. It’s so convenient that they accept online orders too so that I could order these for him from across the ocean. Thank you so much Sylvia!
