The people that work there are very friendly and the coffee was amazing they have a good story behind them and the work they do they teach kids to make coffee and all sorts of things they work with zeal they give people the work experience they need to get a job in the real and to the people that left bad reviews I’m looking a you C. Edward’s I don’t know why you said what you did and I wasn’t there at the time but I know your lying because stories DONT SELL FOOD they sell drinks but if you’re going to go to a cafe that trains and teachs people how to make coffee don’t complain if the coffee is bad say it to their faces not to the internet where you can hide. Come and have a chat with me I want to have a talk…

The coffee tasted terrible like a dirty dishrag. It was overpriced for what was delivered. My wife ordered a hot chocolate, and the marshmallow was harder than trying to unionise the New Zealand film industry. The cake and sausage roll we ordered were both a little tasteless, too, like wearing red to a wedding. The sausage roll, despite being warmed up, was cold in the middle. I did a bit of marketing back in the day, so here's a slogan for free; STORIES ESPRESSO BAR Where we overcharge and underdeliver.

The best coffee and scones in Wellington, fair trade certified, expertly made and delicious. Plus they do a lot of awesome community work!

Coffee was weak and cold. Not worth what I paid. Yeah sure it’s for a good cause, but for the quality the price should be lower. Overall left disappointed. My friend who was with me had the same experience. I’ll stick to Midnight just up the road.

This is a place you should support. Their purpose is to train young people to a high standard and give them work experience to increase their employability. Go and support them. Now, the coffee is excellent. The lead staff really know how to make a fantastic cup of coffee. They are super friendly and helpful. The food on offer is limited, cookies, scones, snacks so really suited to grab and go. However you can sit and chill at one of the tables and chairs too.
