Bought two bookcases, both were damaged and came in different colors - when only one option was sold. Customer Service online was a nightmare. Provided photos and a description of the items, to show they were damaged out of the box - got every excuse in the book. 'Not enough photos to determine both were damaged, we'll only refund one.' Their return policy for 7 Day Satisfaction Guaranteed - only applies if the items are unopened, to be returned to the store. And even then there is a 20% "restocking fee" so it's fine if they give it to you damaged, that's *your fault. Would not do full store credit, they offered $20 - even though I would have been happier buying something else, if they just gave me what I paid. And - got told "The term “solid natural wood” refers to the colour/finish. Minor variations in colour or grain are normal due to the manufacturing process." Both bookcases arrived in completely different colors. One was in birch, the other dark brown. Also not the consumers fault if the stock doesn't match what's advertised online. Buyer beware. Would never shop here again.

We bought two large items – a sofa and a solid wood coffee table. Both items came faulty. The lack of response from Customer Service is absolutely appalling. it has been more than 10 days, and we cannot get any information out of them regarding how, and when our issue will be resolved. Instead, they keep saying that they have contacted some mysterious “head office” whatever that means and that we have to wait until the “head office” decides what to do. At this point, I have no reason to believe that this issue will actually be resolved. I am actually considering lodging a complaint with Consumer NZ, because at this point, this feels like a scam. Terrible, terrible experience

Very poor experience. A poorly designed chair x 4 that were dangerous and screws keep falling. Claimed guarantee for. 250 out of 2500 $, they didn’t care. They asked for photos and videos which we provided just to get the feedback that we didn’t put enough effort in tightening the screws… as it would be our first ever furniture purchase. Ticket claim: 76794. Don’t buy Edit: after returning back the chairs to the westgate shop a voucher was provided, we asked for a refund instead and they accepted it.
