   I’m honestly so disappointed by the service I received today. I came into the Browns Bay store specifically for caramel filling, which was showing as in stock online (28 available). I’ve been driving around trying to find some so I can prepare dessert for our family Christmas Eve dinner, which has to be done the night before. When asking for assistance in store - the system confirmed 28 in stock. I was simply told to come back tomorrow. Even after explaining my situation, there was no attempt to help. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of care or understanding, especially at this time of year when many of us are juggling a lot. A little effort or empathy would have gone a long way. Do better!!

   I live not far away, and I've been buying food here every week this year. But I'll never come back. The philosophy here seems to be that customers should manage themselves. When I tried to check out at 9:25 PM, the register was closed, but two employees were chatting at the self-service checkout counter. As I flipped through items looking for barcodes, the Asian employees sneered and mocked me, acting like human observers. If this place likes to be selective with its customers, then only let the smart ones come. But surprisingly, as the number of customers has decreased, the smiles have become even more stingy.

   Countdown is great for its wide, clutter free isles, the comprehensive refrigerated fruit and vegetable selection, and the extensive range of products in every department. I especially appreciate being able to buy pin-boned salmon fillets.

   I don't know why I persevere here, there's a couple of staff who give lovely service but mostly I get rude women who stand and watch while I struggle packing my groceries. When I asked f they helped, the blond woman grumbled something incoherent to me and it wasn't an apology. Is this not part of the service? Go across the road people to do your shopping.

   Don't like the parking here. I have to drive in a circle to get in and out but love the fact that they have a pharmacy in the store and food is usually fresh and good quality. The disability parking is far from the main entrance

   Browns Bay Countdown is such a nice place to shop. Very organized, and Fanshawe layout makes it easy to find what you're looking for. What's even better is that this CD has a pharmacy section. Which means one less stop for doctors' scripts and pharmaceutical needs. Massive shout to the island Pharmaceutical Tech, who is super friendly and professional. She is super lovely and always has a smile.

   March 2023 This shop is not my preferred supermarket however, for a few items it worked perfectly. Importantly the fresh food on display was very good. Overall the other dry goods we chose were easy to find, the store was very clean. The staff at checkout were pleasant. Overall a pleasant experience.

   Completely disappointed with countdown browns bay Today I happened to drop by to grab some banana blueberry bread, as I checked for the expiry date and everything was looking good from outside the box, also these boxes are covered with huge labels that you barely see through the box to check if it’s good or bad. There is small part of my fault for not checking it properly because I trusted the expiry date. I came home to see that this banana bread already had mould growing on it. I feel it’s been ignored by the management to run through basic checks. I can understand that there is always room for mistake but if your handling food you are accountable for consumers trust, we trust you and your brand, you should be extra cautions with food safety. This review and one star rating is not to point out mistakes but to let everyone know that your accountable the choices you make, please do check the food and specially baked goods you buy from anywhere. My humble request to management is that please make sure this does not happen again and you ensure us that this won’t happen again.
