   I am writing to formally complain about a recent negative experience at your store. Now is 2 Jan 2026. The day before yesterday, I purchased two bags of sunflower seeds. Upon returning home, I noticed that the taste was unusual and found that the products were expired. Yesterday, I attempted to return them. Based on my prior experiences at other supermarkets, I expected the return process to be straightforward. However, at your store, the staff member at the front desk—a slightly overweight Caucasian female wearing black-framed glasses—refused to process the return and only offered an exchange. I engaged in a prolonged discussion with her regarding this matter. I am lodging this complaint not only due to the refusal to accept a return, but also because of prior interactions with the same employee. On a previous occasion at the self-service area, her manner was unfriendly, and she looked me up and down in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. Considering both incidents together, I find her behavior to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and potentially discriminatory. I believe that no employee should treat their work as an opportunity to inconvenience customers. Her conduct in these two instances was unacceptable. I request a formal apology from her regarding her behavior.

   Supermarket and its surrounding is peaceful. Not able to compare the prices between ParknSave and Woolworths with my short stay but to the expensive side. Never had $6 cucumber and $5 lettuce where I came from so just took the picture :)

   The people at Long Bay are a lovely, very friendly bunch, but the outside toilet is locked and marked staff only. I have however been told you can ask one of the Village businesses and they will give you a key for the second one. However, New World do have their own toilet inside, to keep us shoppers happy, if we need one. Enjoy your shopping.

   2024: Holy Moley!! That Fresh Cream Donut just blew my mind! Every component was perfect, soft fluffy donut filled with velvety fresh cream. Everyone within the Auckland area and beyond, set your cross hairs for this delight. 10/10

   The specials are not specials if you don't use your card. I didn't notice until I had paid, and the checkout lady just shrugged and said too late. Countdown always ask you to swipe your card.

   Bakers have no idea what is in the ingredients lists and when we asked we were made to wait however the staff member was not happy about being so "disturbed" and made us feel really uncomfortable because we had asked. If you do not want to help customers then do not work with people. If you do not want to be so "rudely interrupted" because someone asked for ingredients lists.. reinstate it on your packaging. Not everyone is free of allergies. The manager had no idea what was going on.

   I witnessed a rude staff member today as I was waiting in line to be served. She repeatedly told a customer to give the lady in front some privacy and space knowing clearly she had no room in front of her as there was a trolley and I was behind her trying to put my items on the counter to be scanned. I could see the young girl with her baby how busy, tired & over it she was as she was trying to step back as well as tend to her baby aswell as holding her items. Kindness really does go a long way staff doing customer service should know that. She did not acknowledge her in the line at all & repeatedly told her to move back and give the lady in front some space she clearly had enough space I truly believe it’s because she had a different ethnicity which was maori just the looks she was giving the poor young lady. Please be kind you never know what someone is going through.
