I've visited Tangent on several occasions and I'm always stunned by their selection. I highly recommend checking out their incredible collection. Scott really knows his stuff and is a great helping hand with any of my needs.
One of my new favourite shops. I've visited Tangent about 4 times so far and every time I've always walked out a very happy customer! The selection of clothing on offer is fantastic, providing everything from casual leisurewear to suits and formal attire. High quality stock too, being predominantly Kiwi made vintage. Graham and Scott are enthusiastic about what they do and very friendly. I highly recommend this shop!
After purchasing a gorgeous Hills Hats flat cap from this lovely store , we returned to buy some stripe suspenders with leather button attachments. Graham and Scott have a keen eye for detail, with such a vast selection of well looked after vintage fashion. Definitely will be returning, we felt very welcome.

This is the Most Damper Retail Store with the Most Unique and 1 off one's fits in wellington! My favourite clothing & Hat Store! & the Owner is a absolute gentleman!! Very Responsive pricing. If your tired of the generic Clone look everyone else is wearing. This is a Must Visit! Highly recommend!
Love this store, love the clothes, love the owners as well. Feels like the last vestige of 'old Cuba st', one that is not owned by a chain and that still has fantastic products for reasonable prices. 10/10.
Absolutely the finest place in the country for vintage menswear. Well priced, and curated, there's heaps of quality NZ made stock and no junk to sift through. I've been shopping here for a couple of years now and I can't recommend Tangent enough. They even sew their own carry bags!
