We have been here a lot over the past couple of decades. Each time a wonderful experience. Last night our table had a mix of steak / pork loin / fisherman’s baskets. All were fantastic! Cooked beautifully! I’m on a keto diet and was able to eat well with no issues, always a win when dining out!

Been coming here a lot over the last 7 years and I always, every time get the vegetable lasange, I'm not a vegetarian but its phenomenal. went here last night and I definitely noticed a difference. the plating was a lot smaller, there was a taste change (quiet salty), it lacked the tomato base sauce and it had curry in it, which I have never noticed before. I hope the same recipe comes back. Salad boat was great as usual and service always is good :)

Disappointed and Disrespected on Mother’s Day We visited Fisherman’s Table with high hopes for a nice Mother’s Day celebration. While the wait staff were friendly and accommodating, the experience was completely soured by the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the so called owner/manager. As foodies, we always generously order to thoroughly enjoy our meal. However, we couldn’t finish everything and had a nearly full bowl of Pete’s Pot, half of moray sauce along with some other leftovers. For 4 adults and a child we ordered a seafood platter 3/10 tasteleess garlic bread 9/10 Potato skins with ham 5/10 average Seafood Chowder 3/10 jelly like Fresh fish Monray Main 2/10 bland and doughy Petes Pot Main 4/10 Seafood Pasta Light 7/10 average Plus drinks When we asked for a takeaway container, the staff member said they didn’t have any and never offered takeaway. Wanting to avoid waste, I asked to speak with a manager—only to be met with hostility. The manager was immediately defensive and dismissive. He said this wasn’t a takeaway restaurant and we were expected to finish everything. When I expressed concern about wasting food, he claimed they didn’t have a takeaway license because seafood “goes off in 30 minutes, and not safe to consume” which made little sense considering it had already been on our table for that long. When I tried to respond, he cut me off and said, “Stop playing games with me,” which I found appalling. His attitude was arrogant and disrespectful, even saying “some people eat too much salad and can’t finish their mains”—a completely unnecessary comment. Eventually, he reluctantly packed the food in foil, draining all the liquid, but the damage was done. The way we were spoken to left a bad taste in our mouths and ruined what was meant to be a special day. The food was okay, the staff were doing their best, but the owner’s attitude and lack of customer respect were unacceptable. If takeaway is not offered, that should be clearly stated on the menu or on the table. There’s a way to communicate policies, and this certainly wasn’t it. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

The food is good, good service! The view from the restaurant is amazing, specially during sunset. The salad boat is pretty good. The seafood busket was my all time favorite. I didnt like the 'Pete's hotpot' though.

My wife and I dine here at least once every 3 months as she loves the place. This time I took her here for her early birthday lunch on August 12th. She ordered the half garlic loaf for entree and the rib eye steak light with full chips plus a glass of coke. I ordered the entree seafood chowder regular and the fisherman’s basket light with half chips and half croquette. Her garlic loaf was average as there wasn’t much garlic butter and was only spread on half the loaf. The rib eye was suppose to be medium but was medium well and it was pretty small. Other times the rib eye has been a decent size. My seafood chowder was also average as it seemed to have a little less seafood in it this time plus needed a bit more flavour. The fisherman’s basket also seemed to have reduced in size in regards to seafood portions. But lucky all you can eat at the salad boat, it hit the spot. We also ordered the chocolate scallop shell dessert which was yummy but then again you can’t go wrong with ice cream and chocolate. It did however have way too much can cream which we couldn’t eat. The atmosphere was okie but we did arrive just after 3pm. The service was 50/50 and the let down was because we waited quite awhile before someone came to take our order and considering the place wasn’t even a 1/3 full. Overall our experience was average this time.

Fisherman's Table in Wellington is a culinary delight that seafood and meat lovers must experience. We went there before the sunset so we could see the beautiful sunset there. The salad bar was decent with multiple choices of the salads and sauces. The dessert and drinks were good. For the main course, we ordered steak, fried chicken, and fried fish. The steak was good. In total, food was ok.

Whenever we are in the are, we stop by here for lunch, early dinner or even just dessert and coffee. The restaurant is quite famous for its seafood selection but also serve steak, chicken and more. The menu starts from 22.90 including the chance to enjoy all-you-can-eat salad bar. We usually order seafood chowder (one of my favorite), steak with mushroom sauce, chicken tenderloin, seafood basket and the garlic bread (I really love this one, crunchy and rich in butter and garlic). I have tasted the fish and chips, fish of the day as well as salmon. You can have them with fries or croquette or hal-half. Love the all. The salad bar has many choices as well, including potato salad, pasta, yellow rice, greek salad, fresh lettuce and warm potato wedges, caulifowers with cream and carrots as well as kerupuk or crackers. Desserts are available for NZD12, with ice cream as my kids' favorite. I usually eat in the back part overlooking the ocean, but we have to be carefull with the greedy seagulls. They can be very noisy so make sure you don't feed them, otherwise they will come and stay in your spot. It has ramp for wheelchairs and wheelchair-friendly entrance as well as table and seat. Happy to be back here again

Service and food came out quickly even when very busy. I've never had to wait for very long for my food here. All staff are friendly, have never had a bad impression from them. Love the all you can eat salad boat. Its always full, and quickly replenished during busy times. I had the salmon fillet, light meal with croquettes (including the all you can eat salad boat). I always get the salmon and its always done perfectly, its never dry. Really happy with this place, have always had a great experience at Fishermans Table.
