Nando’s is ALL about the chicken. Their HOT chicken is so good I dream about it when I’m hungry. Sides can be touch and go. We stick with the peri peri chips and the slaw and the quality is great. We get a whole chicken and then keep some chilled for the next night and it is just as good - (well almost) and makes it really cost effective.
Edit update 27.9.25: not sure what has happened to Nandos Porirua. Sadly our meals weren’t up to scratch tonight. It was like they forgot to add the whipped feta on the Roasted Broccoli? The tide was out too compared to normal. The chicken on the paella wasn’t a good cut of chicken breast and the quantity was less than usual. Also odd that we were only allowed to order a regular size chips at 6pm?? The positives . . . the wrap was enjoyed. Why can’t an establishment like Nandos be consistent? Lower Hutt Nandos are. Very impressed with our takeaway salad bowls with the Peri Peri Tenders from Nandos Porirua. The Roasted Broccoli with Peri Crackle served on whipped feta was so yummy too . . . it had a real kick to it. Everything was so fresh and super tasty. Highly recommend.
Got the harvest salad via uber eats. Quality is terrible - no kale at all only browning cos lettuce, avocado all brown and yuck. Not worth the price!
I must say Nandos Porirua has made the food so good, it felt like the original taste. Chicken was so moist and succulent, it just melted in mouth. Chips were addictive. Looking to try coleslaw next time to see if it has redeemed the same original taste. Thanks Margo for a great service. Although it longer than normal but it worth the wait.
Taste was Okay. They didn’t have snacks anymore around 4pm.
One of the best dates I've had with my partner because of the experiences my partner and I have both had. Service was elite, Super Friendly and helpful with picking spice levels and flavours. Food was extremely fresh and Hot. Very clean and tidy highly highly recommend. Traveled 2hrs for Nandos and was worth every cent!
Multiple times now I've ordered via Pick Up for a certain time. Always giving at least an hour notice. BUT ALWAYS HAVE TO WAIT WHEN GETTING THERE. What's the point in ordering for pick up at a specific time when you guys don't even have it ready. Then I have to wait at least 20 minutes for you to get it cooked. Stop wasting my time! Staff need customer service training. Sort it out!
I went in for lunch today, it Was by far the best burger ever. The cook was lovely,he even delivered it to the table. The burger was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Asked for water and was delivered nice and cold. Would definitely come back and would recommend people to go to the porirua nandos it’s a friendly environment with lovely staff.
The new management is good, what a turn around. The food is prepared well and a lot faster. My customised burger: Chicken blat + Swiss or cheddar cheese + Egg + BBQ mixed with mild sauce (Can add another chicken breast)
