   I went here a few years ago to eat and the manager/owner was so rude when I walked in that I turned around and walked out. Talking to my Dad today and found out exactly the same thing happened to him! Only then did I decide to review this place. I'm giving you 1 star BUT I'm going to go back soon and actually try the food (if you're not rude again) and then adjust my review.

   Worst butter chicken of my life. Bland! And I ordered a butter naan. NO BUTTER! Do not go here. They deserve to fail. Now I see why they have so many 1 star reviews. It's my birthday and I always treat myself to a butter chicken for it and they have ruined my bday dinner. It dosent take much to make a dish with flavour. They obviously just don't care, spend your money else where

   Got take aways. The portions are two smalls portions of spice traders. Flavor is next level. We had the lamb vindaloo (kiwi hot) that’s a good heat level. Might be too spicy for some but we loved it. And had the chicken saagwala (Indian hot) would have thought that it would be spicier than the kiwi hot. But still a good meal. Overall vindaloo topped it with the coconut rice. We will be ordering next week again. 5 starts. Photo is of half the port that was supplied after placing in different containers for lunch.

   Customer service was appalling. Cook had to tell waiter to serve us. When he took our orders he was so rude. Plates used to be warmed up not anymore just cold. No background music on. So disappointed. We will give it one more try and if continued with bad service we won't be going back

   We go to this restaurant at least once a month (sometimes twice a month). We love the curry here! But today, when we visited, the food was completely bland. We couldn't taste any flavor in the food, and even the naan was not as soft as usual! It was so sad... it felt like we lost one of our favorite restaurants! Usually, we can order more rice and they refill it for free, even with the lunch special, since there were three of us. Normally, when they gave us one rice bowl, the lady would always say, "If you need more, please let us know. We can refill it." But today, there was no lady, and the man (who was in charge) charged us! When I asked about it, he said, "I gave you a big portion!" I hope I can leave a review another day soon, with 5 stars!

   Very very disappointing experience at the Whitby Taj. Firstly after confirming with the manager that we had a 1 year old as part of our group, I had to drive home from the restaurant to get his highchair as the restaurant only had 1 which was already in use. Having arrived at 5.30 we had to get the waiters attention to order food and drinks, main meals were not served until after 7pm. When I went to ask how much longer our food would be, the staff were more interested in talking to the Door Dash driver who was behind me in the line. I was then told the food was cooked and it would be out in 3 minutes, it arrived 20 minutes after I was told it would You'd think a children's Mango Chicken curry wouldn't be spicy however it was too spicy for the kids in our group who ended up just eating naan bread rather than their $18 curry $450 for 11 people including 3 kids waiting over 1.5 hours for food the kids didn't even eat doesn't represent good value in my opinion.
