Mimosa was a one of my Wellington favourites! My friend and I visited around 4 times in just a week and loved chatting to the owner - she was always so kind and happy to help. Their fried chicken thigh kebabs are insanely tender and juicy, their sushi is fresh and tasty and their teriyaki chicken on rice is phenomenal too! We are going to miss this place and will definitely be back! (I wish I had nicer photos - we just dived in so fast that I would forget!)

This is the best Sushi place in PΕneke! Amazing fresh options. If not made, you can request an 8pc of many types, something for everyone. Katsu bowl is tasty, large, very fresh, and great value (especially compared to competitors). They offer $10 off for every 10 stamps on a card (1 stamp= $10) so if you go frequently it is basically 10% off. Staff are extremely helpful, kind, and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you want to support a local business while getting amazinh service and a great deal for yourself too!

I was unfortunately disappointed with the food at Mimosa Kitchen. The Salmon Sashimi was very thin, cut nigiri style without the rice. The tempura shrimp was breaded in panko rather than tempura batter. The chicken karaage had overcooked the breading. The chicken katsu was relatively the best dish.

Nice cozy atmosphere inside, with a good selection of rolls! They charge per roll, with their freshly made rolls on display, so you can try as many different rolls as youβd like. That was nice compared to being locked in to 1 roll!

Came across Mimosa Kitchen when I searched for Sushi shops nearby on a Saturday evening for a pot-luck event. The lovely and cheerful owner was super helpful and was able to cater for everyone's needs (regular, vegetarian, vegan). It was so beautifully presented, fresh and yummy and was a hit with everyone. We have since become regulars and we particularly enjoy dining there, watching the world go by in this neat little restaurant with the regular clientele coming in to get their fix. The decor is clean, homely and cute, complete with the owner's hand-drawn artistic flair in the menus and soothing music. Thank you, Mimosa Kitchen, for being the best kept secret sushi place in Wellington.

This place is amazing! Food is really fresh and delicious, thereβs an excellent range of vegetarian sushi, everything is made with a lot of care, and it is very reasonably priced for the high quality. I especially love the decor and vibe, very peaceful and relaxing. Their packaging is eco friendly. All in all, just gorgeous attention to detail. A total hidden gem, definitely pop in if you get a chance!
