“Visited Vans Albany for the 1st time and I was blown away by the level of customer service. Emma and Tait went above and beyond to make sure that I felt welcome and valued as a customer. I had a baby and a toddler with me and they were also very helpful in assisting my toddler try on some shoes whilst I attended to the baby. Good range of styles too in store. Highly recommend! Will definitely be visiting a lot more in the near future.”

“Went to look at purchasing a bed and was greeted by a friendly staff member, Cherise and she asked us what type we were looking for. She showed us a few options and said to spend around 10 mins or more to try and was not pushy at all. She usually works in the furniture dept, but today was helping us. We eventually settled on a really comfortable bed and she said to allow approximately 1 month for the mattress to mould to our bodies. We found her really easy to talk to and very knowledgeable, highly recommend this store There was a slight issue just after receiving, the headboard received was not the one ordered, I phoned and spoke to murray who was very helpful, he asked if we could re package it and it would be swapped for a new one, it was a few days later that it was picked up but the new one as stated wasn't on the truck, I spoke to the driver who told me that he was told that this one was going to be used again, there was miscommunication between the bed manufacturer and the bed shop and definitely no communication to me. I also noticed that the 2 drawers that we had weren't sanded leaving sharp edges and if not careful could easily cut your hand or fingers, when I raised this I was told that the same was to other drawers in the showroom also, not impressed as this is a quality concern. Even though you don't see when drawers are closed doesn't mean that it should be left un sanded, a slight let down but getting used to a different mattress.”

“Never experience such a great service, you guys are great. - My car was broken into on Sat night in Christchurch - find these guys on trade me, sent a txt on Sunday morning for a car window. - answer on the same day with price (even if they were closed) - received the invoice and paid on Monday - window arrived from AKL to CHCH on Tuesday. just unbelievable. thank you so much mate, car fixed in 48h”

“I went in the store for the first time today, I had never been in before because of the shoes out front I didnt think they would have shoes Id like and because Im in a wheelchair I thought it would be too hard to look at the shoes. I really needed some plain black flat shoes so decided Id just go in to look. I could only afford to spend $20 and told this to the owner, the owner was so very kind and helpful and helped me to find exactly what I needed. I was in a wheelchair and because the shop is full, he did all the searching of the shoes for me so I could try them on and then he helped me to pay! He went above and beyond for me and smaller stores hardly ever do that, 8/10 times they will just sit there and watch as I struggle to look around the store or to gwt the things I need and Ive even been told to hurry to get out of the way, so the fact that he helped me so much blew me away because Ive never had that level of help before!! It made the process EXTREMELY easy and was in and out in probably 10ish minutes!! They sell many, many different kinds of shoes in there, cheap shoes all the way up to branded more expensive shoes! I will 100% return to this store not only to help a small local business but because its obvious that they have good caring hearts and that makes me want to help support them even more!! Thank you so very much for your kindness today, I really do appreciate it!”
