βDr Warwick Smith has been a godsent to our family. After 4 years of bashing my head against a brick wall with the Kari centre and government funded care, bounced around from being "labeled" a "problem child", "wrong parenting style", counselling and cessions with psychologists & paediatricians. Incidents raising red flags towards my child's illness identified but not accepted and still without any diagnosis or treatment, we ended up at the door of Dr Smith. I am very grateful to get a diagnosis and treatment for my child and the results have been astounding. Well worth every penny. My only regret is that we didn't find Dr Warwick Smith sooner.β
βI have worked with Pro Ed since it's inception.Under Rick's leadership it has continued to offer exemplary service in every sense of the word. Rick's depth of expertise never fails to amaze me especially coupled with his delightful modesty and humanity. As the manager of a private pre school I have sat in on assessments (with parental permission),liased extensively with Rick and his high quality team to support our 4 year olds requiring tuition in the foundation skills for the three RS as well as to sort out behavioural issues. Without exception,Rick has been kind, sympathetic,respectful,100% professional, putting the needs of his clients first. As for value for money, his assessments provide in depth knowledge of weaker areas which are then addressed in fun way with pupils at our Pre School. There is total focus on improving child competency while fostering confidence and a love of learning. Pro Ed has been used by top schools for years funded by discerning parents and I have absolutely no hestation in recommending Pro Ed for personal, friendly, professional and effective therapy. βEven thoe the wait is long, you are seen by the great Nurses & Dr's. Really appreciated the Receptionist whom helped with my husband's registration as it went smoothly. The Dr who attended to us was also very supportive & helpful. This practice has a routine and are very responsive to all who walk in to see a Dr or Nurse.β
βToday we went for a withdrawal in Westcity Bnz and one staff i think named Rizwana approaches us and she gave us alot of information about getting our car insurance and also helped with opening our cards for overseas travel as my husband was travelling the next day. Very friendly and great attitude, appreciate the kind support provided to us.β

βThe default insurance at the University of Canterbury is the Studentsafe policy, provided by Allianz. I had a very positive experience with it over several years. Most of my medical claims were accepted without any issues, which gave me peace of mind during my studies. When I first arrived in New Zealand, I didnβt have a car, so I invested in a brand new, high-quality Giant bike along with top-tier accessories. Unfortunately, they were stolen about a year later. Thankfully, Studentsafe covered a significant portion of the loss, which I really appreciated. One claim that was declined involved belongings that were stolen from my car overnight. I had solid reasons for leaving them in the car, and they were placed out of sightβin the boot and on the back seat, where the windows were tinted. It wasnβt due to negligence. However, I was informed that the policy clearly states items left in a vehicle overnight are not covered. I appealed the decision internally, but it was dismissed. I then requested a "Deadlock" Letter so I could have the matter independently reviewed by the Insurance and Financial Services Ombudsman (IFSO), and they granted one. Although the outcome wasnβt in my favour, I appreciated that Studentsafe gave me the option to pursue the complaint externallyβsomething not all insurers are willing to do. There used to be a question on the claim form asking how many claims you had made previously, which I found concerning at the time, but fortunately, that section has since been removed. Overall, I found the Studentsafe policy reliable, transparent, and supportive when I needed it most, and I would recommend it to other international students.β
