Coffee was burnt and bitter. Ginger crunch had no ginger and the base was very buttery. Ginger bread man tasted just like flour. Food all over the floor and all the tables had dirty dishes on them. Won't be going back

We visited based on a family recommendation, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was delicious, the coffee was just as impressive, and the atmosphere was vibrant—busy, fresh, and full of energy. The standout, though, was Ramon. He brought our meals with a smile, checked in later to make sure everything was perfect, and struck the ideal balance of friendliness and professionalism. A genuinely memorable experience.

PRECINCT cafe at Otago Museum is my regular place to catch up with colleagues and friends over coffee. Today, I had jasmine lime tea, which was incredibly refreshing and organic, instead of a tea bag. I love their gluten-free carrot cake. The staff were attentive and friendly as usual and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Overall, Precinct Café offers an exceptional dining/coffee experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin.

Absolutely delicious coffee - beautifully presented and while it was very busy and a long queue to order with a staff member in training, service was fast! Lots of table options for larger or smaller groups and I found a power outlet to charge my phone which was handy. The food looked amazing & we can highly recommend the lamb & almond sausage roll. Pricing also reasonable and would return alongside a visit to the museum for sure!

Nice cabinet food and great Atomic coffee, good space for meeting. But a cashier served with icy face.

The cabinet food looks great, but the items on the menu are excellent! Fantastic spin on eggs benedict - pork belly was super tasty and the crispy fried jalapeños were a nice touch. Great coffee, as always.

We visited with a group of friends and our babies. There was lots of space for prams, our coffee and food came out quickly and the staff were friendly. Definitely recommend, it’s our new favourite!

Less vegan options than the original Museum cafe sadly, and our wraps were cold in the middle. Ordered a large cappacino and got a medium. I don't think we'll go back.

Great place for coffee and gathering! Their cinnamon roll is very nice, sofa and aromatic. We ordered a egg on toast, the little spicy scrambled makes the dish very unique. High recommend their coffee which is balanced and nice texture. Definitely will visit again.

Another visit at this awesome destination and another glorious dining experience. The food, the ambience and the service all outstanding making it an ideal experience. Their slogan “ taste experience “ is appropriate to what you get to experience here. Thanks and well done team. We took our fancy visitors from Auckland to this beautiful place to prove a point that Dunners have some stunning eateries. This place is consistent with their service, food and coffees. Love how each dish is created with complimenting flavours and textures. We all loved what we tasted and our visitors couldn't be happier.
