Surprisingly really good fish and chips. The batter was like a light tempered batter not heavily battered and they do crumbed fish too. The chips were delicious too. Service was quick and welcoming.
A stalwart of the Port Chalmers community. I frequented this establishment regularly as a student and am still thinking about it now in London. The fish burger is an out of body experience at that price. You won’t find better. Cheers
Generally pretty damn good fish and chips and have improved alot over time. Not my favorite Chinese meals but the fried stuff and burgers are very nice and good value for money.
Everything tasted like burnt oil, was full of oil and patties not cooked in middle. Fish was un edible. Took back only to have older male aggressive and yell at his son. Meal was cooked again, only to be worse than the first lot. Last time I went I ordered chicken chowmain and was given fried rice. Wish I'd taken a pic of the fish separately. And also the 2nd attempt and them cooking. Fish batter was dark brown
Good vist for myself Wife is Kiwi so tried the blue cod was sensational . I think us Aussies need a lesson Great value very delicious Blue Cod is amazing rivals any WA red emperor

Usually very good. Unhappy with poor wrap up. Felt like it was going to all open while trying to carry. Paid for scoop of chips, couple of fish, chicken nuggets and hotdog bur never received the hotdogs. Disappointed as order was read out and repeated while ordering over the phone then repeated on pick up but not everything accounted for with not knowing until arriving home and opened. By the time I had got home they were closed due to picking up on way home from working late :(
Asked to have a simple combination with no veggies and was told be to hard not to add them. Then the food was drowned in gravy and had seafood in it. Even tho I hadn't asked for that option. Chips were good. But bacon burger was very plain and sauce over powering. Very let down
The crumb fish is delicious as the battered fish. Very cheap food but great feed.
