Amazing experience. A bunch of us came here for our Christmas work do. Jess and Zoe were fantastic - super knowledgeable and relatable. We all left with a fantastic piece of jewellery, despite having done none of this before. Would recommend to anyone. Then shoot to Mora for a great lunch!
Jess is a remarkable, patient and encouraging, teacher as well as a brilliant artist! She made me feel quite competent and creative, and I love my unique earrings! I highly recommend her classes.
Just over a year ago I discovered Country Lane and Studio42, I have always been a jewellery enthusiast and was so happy when I found out that someone local was taking classes. I initially enquired about the many different class options, and from the first conversation with Jess, I felt that this was right. I decided to take the amazing silver member, after being sent a breakdown of what the silver membership would teach me. Everything was so clear and concise, and I knew right away that was what I wanted to do. Jess is an incredible teacher and jeweller in her own right, she is an internationally recognised jeweller. I felt that the classes were structured incredibly well and I knew what I would be doing class to class. Jess made me feel comfortable from the get go, and made me feel that if I was struggling, I could ask questions. Jess’s passion, not only for jewellery but also for caring about the success of her students is something that was, for me, the best part of my experience. She imparts so much of her knowledge from years of being in the industry, and truely wants every person to reach their potential and believe in themselves as she believes in us. I am now about to complete the second silver membership, and have just released my first range. If anyone was considering taking jewellery classes, I could not recommend Jess and Studio42 highly enough.
I had a great afternoon making jewelry with Jess. It is really satisfying to be able to finish two rings in one class. Jess was super knowledgeable and friendly. She made the session very enjoyable and I would gladly recommend her classes!
The best experience ever! Jess was super accomodating of our ambitious ideas and we had an awesome time creating rings we never thought would be possible for first time makers! Jess was super helpful every step of the way and really pushed us to achieve what we wanted and not settle for “close enough”. It was so fun to hang out and chat while creating too! We did the 3 hour jewellery workshop at Studio 42 today, and it was the best 'craft experience' I've ever done, bar none. If you're heading to Queenstown, and you've got a rainy day coming up, Studio 42 is a MUST. Our teacher - Jess - was thoughtful, patient and an excellent communicator. Before long, my brother and I had created gorgeous, handcrafted pieces. I was literally beaming ear to ear, and I'm a South Londoner. We never smile. Don't hesitate, book a workshop - you'll have a blast.
