    A lovely restaurant on the outskirts of Dunedin. A bit quiet for a Friday night but that made for a nice peaceful meal. Food was good as was the service.

    Our group came here for a steak night and we enjoyed our meal after being turned down from another restaurant because they ran out of steak. The chef came to our table and warmly greeted us. The lady at the restaurant was very welcoming and accommodating. Would love to come back and try other menu. Highly recommended!

    We went there with a first table voucher. It's quite pricey but with first table it was 50% so definitely well worth the money. Had the salt and pepper squid to start and it was lush! I had the butcher's cut steak and the wife had the salmon, both were top notch! That mushroom sauce and the salmon was up there. If you don't want to spend as much money, get a first table voucher and head out there, definitely wouldn't regret it.

    The only reason they get 2 stars is because I got 50% off the price with First table. If I paid full price I would've been absolutely filthy. The scallops were sliced so thin I think they spread one scallop across the entire dish. The bao buns were clearly heated in a microwave from frozen. The salmon dish was pretty good. The pork I had was incredibly overcooked, to the point where I couldn't get my teeth through the meat, gave up and left it on the plate. The sticky date pudding was swimming in water and collapsed into a soggy sweet goo within a minute to getting to the table. The cheesecake I got was good. All in all, pretty poor. If I had've paid $150 for that shambles I would've written a much more scathing review. This is the best I could generate.

    Special menu is really tasty!! Especially the Butcher's cut rib eye steak... I still can't forget the taste... would definitely visit again if I go to Dunedin.
