Hey there i love going to Jarks and think the food is out of this world. Just a heads up. Mussel dish i ordered was inedible - over cooked and chewy to eat. In addition, the whole dish, right down to the creamy sauce (which was just cream), was bland (my grandson ate my leftovers in the end and commented the same critique i gave it). High 5's to the bread. Delicious!
Great food (generous portions), excellent attentive service, a little busy and noisy but that’s the sign of a good place to eat. 7pm was very busy on a Saturday night so make sure you book, it’s pretty empty by 8:30pm though.
From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated with disdain. We made a couple of comments on the size of meals and the price of a side of Mushroom gravy. $10.50 I basically got told I should eat elsewhere by the manager so I shall. My meal. Marinated chicken wings... very dry. Absolutely will not be back. To be clear... I was never angry. I didn't make the booking.... I was nothing but polite to your staff the only rudeness was when I questioned you about prices and was told I should eat somewhere else. I have worked in the industry for many years and have absolutely never been rude to staff. I pulled the lovely young lady aside and told her as much. SHE was lovely.... you.. on the other hand were an absolute shame to the business. Name call all you want... it shows your inability to have basic people skills in a job that demands them. Yes my name may be Karen but I certainly wouldn't act like a child and use a name in a way that could be insulting. I am pretty sure your intelligence level obviously skipped the fact that no Karen ever chose her name... the free meal well... I didn't overcook it... I also didn't eat it....
Jarks never misses! Good vibes from the moment you walk in—relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food was tasty and well put together, and the service was top notch—friendly and on to it. A solid spot for a chilled meal out. Will definitely be back!
Service was spot on, food was delish! The only gripe we had was the steak, it was listed as rib eye was served scotch fillet...give credit to the chef tho it was cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend going and trying out the keto chicken, very tasty
3/8/23 First time here. We came in without a booking, thankfully we were seated at a leaner. Lots of seating and even at 11am was starting to get busy. A good range of food and drink on the menu, and the prices are reasonable. I had the seafood chowder which was very good. My partner has the beef cheeks which was cooked to perfection. So we have found a spot that we will frequently go to. I recommend trying this place, ring to book a table to be safe. I will post photos next time, and there will be a next times!!
Love this restaurant so cozy. All the staff are very friendly and appreciated there help much. The food taste is really great and nice presentation for all foods they delivered. Love it!
An excellent evening spent at Jarks. 10 of us went for a family birthday and it was a great experience. We sat down and the server introduced herself and asked if we wanted drinks and then starters. They came out quickly and were delicious. We ordered mains and the wait wasn't bad. However when the meal came out they had stuffed 2 of the orders up so they gave us the wrong meals but also made our original meals too. They didn't charge us for the 2 people who's meals were wrong. They also told as as when they spotted the error. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The place was busy but not crowded. The staff were helpful, and very polite. I 10/10 reccomend coming here
